THE FOUR WALKED TOGETHER towards Aslans camp, coats discarded in the forest. A horn blared as they walked through the tents, warmth flooding the fields.
Nick had unbuttoned her top slightly as she pulled on her trousers in the heat. Lucy was amazed by the warmth, smiling as she walked through the grass.
Centaurs, fauns and other creatures gawked at the four as they walked through, stopping to stare at them before following them through the pathway.
"Why are they all staring at us?" Susan whispered, a smile on her face.
"Maybe they think you look funny," Lucy said and Nick laughed.
Mr and Mrs Beaver talked to one another before the four stopped in a square outside of a large tent. As they stood outside, Peter pulled out a sword, showing it to the centaur who seemed to guard the tent.
"We have come to see Aslan," Peter said, holding his sword out and Nick smiled at his new found authoritative tone.
The centaur nodded as people gasped in the crowd. They all turned to look at the tent as everyone else around them knelt instantly. Nick stared at the entrance as a bold lion walked out and she smiled, knowing it was Aslan instantly.
The four knelt down, looking at the floor until he said their names.
"Welcome, Peter, Son of Adam, Welcome, Dominique, Susan and Lucy, Daughters of Eve," he said and Nick looked up at him, a smile on her face. "And welcome to you Beavers, you have my thanks" he said and the Beavers nodded, obviously happy.
"But where is the fifth" Aslan asked, knowing that they need to have all five of them to fulfill the prophecy. Peter looked sadly up at Aslan, the four standing up.
"That's why we're here sir, we need your help," Peter said, putting the sword back in its sheath.
"We had a little trouble along the way," Nick explained, looking at Aslan.
"Our brother has been captured by the White Witch," Susan stated and silent gasps rang out through the crowd that gathered around the Pevensies and Nick.
"Captured? How could this happen?" Aslan questioned and Mr Beaver sighed, seeing that nobody was answering the question.
"He betrayed them, your majesty," Mr Beaver explained and the crowd murdered.
The centaur who greeted the four at the start looked around at the crowd, "Then he has betrayed us all," he said and Aslan shook his head.
"Peace, Oreius, I'm sure there's an explanation," Aslan said.
He stared at the four, waiting for someone to speak up and Peter sighed.
"It's my fault really, I was too hard in him," Peter said and Nick put a hand on his shoulders, squeezing gently as he smiled down at her.
