THEY WALKED THROUGH THE WOODS Peter leading them as he held Nicks hand. He saw her shaking when the bear was shot and knew how she had nightmares about the wars.

"I don't remember this way," Susan stated as Peter turned to look at her.

"That's the problem with girls, can't carry a map in your heads," Peter said and Nick smacked him on the arm.

"That's because our heads have something in them," Nick said, looking at the smirk dissapear off his face.

"And we all know whats going on in Peter's mind," Susan said, nudging Lucy as the girls laughed.

"I wish he'd just listened to the DLF in the first place," Susan said and Edmund walked towards them confused.

"DLF?" He questioned and Susan smiled at him.

"Dear Little Friend,' Lucy said Trumpkin sighed, looking at Edmund.

"Oh, thats not at all patronising is it?" He questioned.

Peter turned to look at Nick as she stared at the floor, thoughts running through her head.

"Penny for your thoughts," he said and Nick smiled, remembering their conversation on the hill.

"I can't believe this is what has become of Narnia," she said and Peter sighed, pulling her hand up as it was laced with his and kissing it.

"Its gonna be okay, we can fix this," he said and she smiled at him, hearing the girls chuckle from behind them.

Peter stopped at a group of Rocks and Nick looked at them confused.

"I'm not lost," he muttered, looking around in confusion as they met a dead end.

"No, you're just going the wrong way," Trumpkin said and Nick furrowed her brow at the statement as it made no sense.

"You last saw Caspian at the shuddering woods, and the quickest way there is to cross at the River Rush," Peter explained, having it all mapped out in his head.

"But unless I'm mistaken, there's no crossing in these parts," Trumpkin said and Peter raised an eyebrow.

"That explains it then, you're mistaken," he said and Nick smiled, walking with him as they crossed through the woods.

"Are you okay?" She asked and he smiled half heartedly at her.

"Yeah, I'm just sure I'm right," he said and Nick chuckled.

"You always think you're right,' she said and he smiled at her, walking through the woods. He stopped at a cliff face, looking down at the river.

"You see, over time, water erodes the earths soil, carving deeper," Susan explained and Peter shook his head.
