Skylers POV
*after her death*

I remember my death. The crack of my neck and the fall of my body. But when my body landed, my soul (that I thought as a vampire I wouldn't have) landed in a blue room. I landed on my hands and knees. The walls were painted a baby blue and in the middle stood a woman in a black dress, flowing around her ankles. Behind her stood James. She reached out her hand to me. To help me up. But I declined and stood on my own. And that's when I noticed I am in a white silky dress.
"My name is Lydia." Said the woman. "I am your guide through death." I shook my head.
"No, you don't understand. I have a family, a child, please...I have to go back."
"Skyler you are dead. You can't go back." James took a step towards me.
"Unless you make a deal." I eyed him suspiciously.
"What deal?" I asked.
"You can go back for a day. One day. As a ghost. And in return you must spend your time in the after life with me."
"Why would you want me to be with you James? If you love me you wouldn't of slept with someone else." I saw a glimpse of anger in his eyes.
"It's not because I love you. It's because I want my revenge." My eyebrows knitted together with confusion.
"I studied Vampires for years. Many years before I met you. I knew Cameron was a vampire and when we crashed into that tree, I wanted to die. Because I thought Cameron would save and turn me. But he saved you." He said. I tried to listen for my heart beating fast, but a quick check of my pulse reminded me that I haven't got a heartbeat. I am dead. James continues.
"I became powerful here in the afterlife. I could transform into a ghost whenever it pleased me and so I used that to my advantage and have been toying with you the whole time. Showing up in your apartment and at the beach was just the beginning, it was to make you wish you were never turned. I even directed Nathan to you, to kill you but it was just to bad that you didn't die and feel pain. Then your little mason came along and that's when my fun began."
My hands started shaking and I bit my lip to keep it from trembling. He came closer to me and Lydia smirked. She knew what he has done.
"Your death touched son was so safe. To safe for my liking so I thought I would 'interfere'. I started by controlling his powers to destroy your precious koenigsegg but that was the minor part of my game. I let the council know they had a dangerous vampire lurking around. I even told them how to find you. I punctured your tyre to make sure you would stop and see me, make sure you remembered that I was still there haunting you. Then I let the council find you and I led you to the building to reunite your family only to order one of my men of the council to kill you. In front of your family. Oh so tragically." I wanted to attack him but my feet were placed firmly on the ground, unable to move. He grabbed a handful of my curly brown hair at the back of my head and pulled my face close to his. His lips brushed mine sinisterly as he spoke.
"I wanted you to feel my pain." He said.
"Why? It's not my fault! I didn't ask to be turned." I screamed.
"Your bond with Cameron went deeper than him being your sire. Cameron loves you. The pain you feel, he feels too. I couldn't cause him real pain unless I hurt you." He said. He let go of my hair and walked to the back of the room where it was dark and when he walked back he was dragging Cameron. I gasped. His head was hung shamefully.
"Is it true?" I asked. He nodded his head. A tear escaped my eye as James gave me an evil smirk.
"And my oh my. It was a sweet feeling. But I'm not finished. You can take my deal and see your family one last time then spend your eternity being punished for your foolish sires mistake. Or you can go with Lydia, to a different part of the afterlife and never see Ed or Mason again." I considered it then looked at Cameron. Was it worth it? Ed wouldn't be able to see me but Mason would. I wanted to see them again, even if it meant feeling whatever pain from the torture James would give. And so I agreed and with the blink of an eye found myself outside my house. I could tell that many many hours had gone by since I had died. I walked into my house to find Mason in his room. He shivered from the breeze my soul would of been causing and I place my hand on his arm, his eyes looking into space. That's when I felt myself become visible to him and that's when I found myself being looked at by my sons blue eyes.
