Chapter 23 - #2 Vs. #2

(Y/n) POV

We walked back to the stand after my face stopped blushing. Sitting where we were before, I saw Midoryia and Todoroki walking into the ring. "BEGIN", Present Mic shouted, and Todoroki let out a massive ice attack. However, Midoryia broke his ice by breaking his fingers.

Todoroki let out another attack that Midoryia again blocked. An icy breeze filled the arena. As Midoryia continued to break Todoroki's ice. However, even with Midoryia breaking his whole arm, Todoroki was still standing. Todoroki sent another wall of ice hurdling towards Midoryia, and it seemed like the end. But smashed the wall and almost pushed Todoroki out of the arena. Midoryia then started shouting about how he was only using half his strength. Todoroki got mad and started running to Midoryia. Midoryia punched him back, but Todoroki froze his arm. After that, Todoroki ice when slower. Midoryia continued to break all of his fingers. They moved to close courters combat, and Todoroki was taking punch after punch. However, he didn't seem like was fully there. "IT'S YOUR! IT'S YOUR QUIRK! NOT HIS!". Something in his mind seemed to have clicked, and a huge flame came rocketing upwards.

Wait... Was he?

"I want it to. I'll be a hero". Then both of them prepared their strongest attacks. Both the teachers tried to stop them, but it was too late. They were both flying to each other and let out a huge explosion. The wind was so strong that parts of the arena started charging through us. Once the smoke cleared, Midoryia fell against the wall of the stadium.

Midoryia had to be rushed to Recovery girl, and I saw Endeavor walking to where Todoroki was going. A group of us decide to run down to see how he was doing. We slammed open the door of the nurse's office and, Recovery girl and the guy that was training him before were in there. "Hey, guys.. shouldn't you be watching the matches".

"The stage was far too damaged. They're taking a quick break to repair it".

"That match was the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life Midoryia. What pro's gonna want a sidekick that hurts himself?". Thankfully before he could keep talking Tsu slapped him.

"Now you're just rubbing salt in his wounds. Probably not a good time".

"Hey! I'm just speaking the truth!".

"You're much too noisy! I know you're worried, but I've got to focus on surgery now!".

"SURGERY!".

"Go on, get out of here!".

"But surgery is a big deal, isn't it?".

"Will he wound him?".

"Don't worry". With that, she closed the door on us. We all went back out seats except Iida and me. I went to get ready in one of the waiting rooms while Iida did the same.

We both exited the waiting areas and got into the ring. We both go into position, and Present Mic screams, "BEGIN!". He blasted towards me, but I teleport behind him. I tried to grab him put he swerved out of the way. I landed on the grown, and he rushed at me. However, this time I didn't move. When he released what I was doing, he tried to move, but it was too late he ran right into me. I grabbed him and teleport right outside the ring.

"Iida has left the ring! Dent is the winner!". I looked over to him, and he looked at the floor. He got up and left without saying a word.

I went back to the stands and watched the next fight, which Tokoyami easily won. After that Bakugo, worry down Kirishima enough to win. Then it was the time of the final four, and I was shaking. While in the waiting room, I tried to calm my nerves, but it didn't work and even going out, I was still shaking. "This next is going to be interesting!", Present Mic shouted. "The son of the number two hero in Japan Shoto Todoroki vs. the daughter of the number two hero in America (Y/n) Dent! Who will win! NOW! BEGIN!".
