Chapter 13 - Unexpected visit

The next morning, Yudai came to your house. He came when you were still sleeping so you went downstairs in your bed hair and pajamas.

"What are you doing here so early?!" you complained.

"It's 12pm."

"So?"

He sighed. "Anyways, I gotta talk to you."

"Damn. Must be important for you to come to my house for it." you were kinda scared. "Wanna go upstairs?"

"Sure." you both go to your bedroom.

"So what was it?" you ask.

Without saying anything, he grabs your chin and brings your face to his. Your lips connected for a couple of seconds before you backed away.

"Yudai! What the hell?" you whispered aggressively. You didn't want your parents to hear.

"I'm sorry, I did that for selfish reasons." he says, while avoiding eye contact.

"Yeah! What are-"

"Just let me speak for now." he interrupts. You agree to just listen.

"I've liked you since I've met you. I couldn't go on being friends with you without being honest about how I feel. And, I know you like someone else. Of course I wish it was me, I'm selfish after all, but all I want is for you to be happy. If Tsukishima makes you happy, then I'm okay with it." he gives you such a weak smile. Your eyes started watering at the sight.

He is one of your best friends and you knew you hurt him. You look down and just start sobbing.

"I-I'm sorry." you start wiping your tears.

"No! Don't cry! It's okay, I'm fine with it." he starts waving his hands everywhere while looking really worried.

"I hate that I'm hurting you." you look up at him, with teary eyes. "But I can't help how I feel."

"Y/N, it's okay. It just means we're not meant to be. It was my fault for falling for someone who had no interest in me." he smiles at you again. God, you hate seeing him smiling at you when you know he's hurting.

"I'm so sorry. Can we still be best friends?" you sniff.

"Of course." he holds his arms open.

You hug him and sigh from relief. You value your friendships so much and losing a friend would break your heart too much.

"For a girl who bosses me around all the time you sure do cry like a baby." he laughs. You smack him lightly on the arm. You laugh too even though your face was a mess from crying.

*Skip to next day*

When you arrive to school, Kageyama and Hinata greeted you.

"IT FEELS LIKE I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN FOREVER!!!" Hinata clung onto you.

"I saw you 3 days ago?!?"

"Yes? That's long!" he complained. You sigh then smile at him.

"Come on, go to class. I'll see you at lunch!" You pat his head then wave at Kageyama.

When you got to class Tsukishima was already there at his seat. You flashed him a smile then sat down at your seat in front of him. You felt a kick at your chair leg. Is he serious? You look behind you to see a smirk on his face.

"Are you a child?" you whisper.

"Y/N turn around please." the teacher scolded you.
