Looking up at your new high school, you walk through the gates while avoiding bumping into any students around you. You start the new routine that you will be following for the next 3 years of your life. You put away your new school shoes into your assigned locker and slip on your uwagutsu. Then it was finally time to look for your homeroom: 1-A, which you were amazed you were even in. Despite your mediocre grades throughout middle school, you somehow scored an almost perfect test score for your entrance exams. I guess my parents nagging me to study all the time wasn't for nothing. You thought to yourself.

As you step into the classroom, you quickly scan it to take a glimpse of who you will be spending your high school classes with. Thankfully, you don't see any familiar faces from middle school and since you're in a top-class you doubt you will run into anyone mischievous. Only stuck up know-it-alls and nerds, which didn't bother you that much.

Since you were quite early you managed to get a seat next to the window. Once you were seated you kept watch of the door to see the rest of the students in your class. A boy with black curly hair with a tall, slim build; a boy with dark green hair and freckles; a short, chubby girl with dark brown hair and a boy with blonde hair and glasses were some of the people who walked in. Soon enough, the teacher arrived and the class finally started.

You have a tendency of analyzing the people around you. Since you don't make friends, you love to guess people's personalities and pasts. Of course, you never gather the courage to actually befriend them and see if you were right or wrong so it just remains a mystery until you completely forget about them.

In front of you, sat the blonde boy with glasses. It was quite a pain since he was so tall but it would have been worse if you both sat in the middle of the classroom. How can someone be that tall at this age anyway? As roll call is being done you learn that his name is Tsukishima Kei and his green-haired friend that walked in with him was Yamaguchi Tadashi. Thinking about it, Tsukishima seemed very cold towards Yamaguchi as he would ignore everything he would say. Maybe he's a bit like me? Or is he just stuck-up? With his look, height and smarts he is most likely just vain and thinks he's better than everyone else.

Class finally ends and you start gathering your things to leave. While doing that, you see Tsukishima stand up and you're eyes follow him as he walks towards Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi whispers something to him and then they look your way. Your heart stops and you quickly look away hoping they didn't see you blatantly gawking at them. Out of the corner of your eye, you see a tall figure walk towards you.

"If you're gonna stare, at least try to make it less obvious." A voice sneered.

You didn't even look up. You froze in embarrassment and slight intimidation. Not only did you completely humiliate yourself but those are officially the first words you received from another student in high school. Potentially the last if you decide to never show your face to the outside world again.

Walking towards the vending machine, you see a black-haired, grumpy-looking boy. You watch as he takes the last carton of milk.

You mutter to yourself, "Dammit."

The boy then looks at you, clearly hearing what you said. Your eyes widen as you realise you were louder than expected. You were ready for him to give you a piece of mind but, surprisingly, he held the milk carton towards you.

"Oh no, no. It's okay, you got it first." You persisted. Instead, he just pushed the milk carton towards your chest (NOT THE TIDDIES, it's just above) and looked away. You take the milk carton before he starts pouring the milk into your mouth or something.

"I'll buy you a different drink so it's fair, okay? Which one do you want?" you ask.

"Juice." he answers in a very monotone voice.

You stare at him in a puzzled look. "There are three kinds... which one?" Does he expect me to be a mind-reader or something?

"Apple." he responds.

You put the coins in and pick the option for apple juice.

"You don't talk much do you?" you say. He looks at you and then faces away again. You can't really talk, you are just as quiet as him. It's shocking that you're even saying this much.

As you pass him the juice you ask, "What's your name?"

"Kageyama Tobio." he answers.

"Well, mines L/N F/N. Thanks for the milk. See you around." you smile at him.

He sort of smiles back and walks away. You can't tell if he just doesn't like you or if he's always like that. It would be nice to have at least one friend in high school but you weren't really bothered either way.

Author's note: Sorry it's a bit boring but these are just the first impressions. Also, uwagutsu are slippers.
