Part 16: do it again

Your POV

"Hey Warren, do you really think staying here, out in the open, is a good idea?"

"We'll be fine, hopefully Mack and addi find something, if not, we'll be fine, just keep an eye out."

I sit down back down next to 10k, leaning against the run down gas station,

"Do you think they're coming back?" I ask 10k,

He shrugs,

"great answer."

I see Cassandra with doc, near the truck,

Murphy is sitting inside of the truck,

I make eye contact with Cassandra for a moment, she immediately looks away,

I turn my attention back to 10k, he gets up and walks toward doc and the rest of he group, I just watch as he walks away,

He kneels down next to Cassandra, trying to speak to her, she pushes him away, not in a rough way,

He gets up and walks back to me, he hovers over me,

"Maybe you should...apologize." 10k suggests,

I look up at him, "for what exactly?"

"Oh I don't know, maybe...trying to kill her?"

"Well, maybe if she didn't~" I stop myself, seeing his glare,

"Fine, I think I just might...apologize."

He eyes me as I walk over to doc and Cassandra, as I come up to them Cassandra backs away slightly,

"Come back for more y/n?" Murphy laughs,

"Shut up."

I stand in front of Cassandra, "can you give us a moment doc?"

He looks at me for a moment, debating, then nods and walks over to 10k,

"Cassandra, look, I apologize for...doing what I did, but I'm also sure you understand."

"I get it."

"No hard feelings?"

"Yeah."

"Cool." I state and walk over to 10k and doc,

"Hey kid." Doc greets me,

"Hey doc." I reply,

"Me and 10 here were just talking about you actually." Doc starts, 10k slaps his arm, giving him that look, the one that says don't, without saying anything, I know it all to well,

"Oh yeah? What exactly about me?" I raise an eyebrow,

"Something about you, and uh blood, he thinks it makes you look~" doc is cut off,

"I was joking, doc stop." 10k quickly interrupts,

I'm give him a confused look, "interesting." I say with a confused tone, but not caring to question them further,

"Soo, you got a dog baby, what about a 5k? A real baby." Doc smiles and chuckles,

"Did you smoke something?" I question doc,

"Nope, all out, unfortunately."

"Sooo...no 5k?" Doc laughs,

"Get out." I playfully roll my eyes,

"I'm already outside." Doc responds,

"Doc." 10k warns, in a friendly way, of course,

"Alright, alright, I'll just make my way over there." Doc responds finally walking away,

"And duke is a real baby!" I yell as doc walks away, I smile to myself.

"A puppy baby." 10k adds quietly.

I playfully slap his shoulder,

"Hey! I'm on your side." 10k throws his hands up chuckling,

"Suree." I shake my head smiling.

Now me and 10k are finally alone again, nobody else can see us where we are,

"Wait, where is duke?" I get worried for a moment,

"Murphy has him, don't worry." 10k reassures,

"Murphy? The dog hater? Is watching my dog?" I raise an eyebrow,

"Come." 10k says leading me, he stops around the corner and gestures for me to look around,

I see Murphy in the truck with duke, sitting in his lap, licking him, well...I guess he's finally taken a liking to him.

I turn back around to 10k,

"see, he's fine."

"Okay, you were right, happy?" I throw my hands up playfully,

"So now what?"

10k grabs my wrist and leads me to the back of the store,

I don't question him, there's a ladder on the back, he gestures for me to climb,

I don't question him and I get to the top,

I can see trees for miles, nothing else really, besides everyone in the gas station parking lot, and the truck,

10k comes up behind me, he hugs me from behind, holding me close, I turn around facing him,

"There is something I've been meaning to ask."

I listen closely, staring into his eyes, "I don't want to mess anything up, if it's to early or anything but, I really like you y/n."

"Would you maybe want to, be my girlfriend?"

I'm actually a bit shocked for a moment I don't respond,

"If you didn't want to I totally understand and~"

I lean in and cup his face, I cut him off with a passionate kiss, it takes him a second but when he realizes what I'm doing he grabs my waist and deepens the kiss,

Once we separated,         

"Does that answer your question?" I smile,

"I don't know, maybe you should answer it again."
