We continue in search of a place for shelter,
He doesn't say anything further,
He just keeps looking ahead,
"I actually do apologize, I handled that a little too immaturely."
He finally looks at me again,
"Thank you." He responds.

"If worst comes to worst, we can always just climb a tree or something." I shrug,
"Wait, look, over there!"
He points out an entirely intact vehicle,
"Wow, I guess it's our lucky day, now let's hope for some gas."
As we approach the car, everything look good,
Everything but the ignition, there's no key.
"Do you by chance know how to Hotwire a car?"
He questions me hopefully,
"Do I look like I know how to Hotwire a car..?
OF COURSE I KNOW HOW."
He smiles,
"You're the best!"
After only about 5 minutes or so I've got the hunk of junk running,
He sits in the drivers seat,
"I'm driving."
"Ah come on." He whines,
"I did the dirty work." I cross my arms,
"I saw it first."
"Babe, listen, I'm your girlfriend so therefore, automatically, I get to win, everytime."
He gives in and moves to the passenger seat,
"Okay so here's a teeny problem, we have to go through the city..."
"We can handle it."
"Like big hospitals and building type city."
"Maybe the rest of the group went there too."

10k turns on the radio, turning the dial,
"What are you doing?" I question, "there's not gonna be anything on there."
Just as I said that a small static noise is heard,
I look over quite confused and slightly shocked,
You can imagine my surprise when I heard a voice,
"Citizen z? Can you hear me?" 10k speaks,
"Yes, yes, I can hear you! You're separated from Warren and the group, correct?" The voice responds,
"Yeah, do you know where they're headed?"
"Affirmative, they last contacted me just north of the cities, looks like you'll have to make it through there but be very cautious, a pretty nice sized herd will be arriving in the area anywhere from two to four hours from now, they're moving at a pretty slow pace so if you go now, you should have plenty of time to beat it."
"Am I hallucinating or is that an actual person?" I speak,
"It's Citizen Z, he's helped us, on our mission." 10k answers,
"I don't recognize the voice you have there? Can you confirm person unknown please?"
I raise an eyebrow, "my name is y/n, Y/n Y/L/N."
"Very nice to meet you y/n but I think you two should get a head start on the herd." Citizen Z replies.
Then the voice is gone, and static is heard again.
