"Where are they?" He asked.
"Looks like they're in a vehicle, headed back the way you came, which also happens to be away from California."
"WHO CARES ABOUT MURPHY RIGHT NOW!?"
He yelled.
"Sorry, I didn't mean it like~ anyway. You better get going, best of luck!" Citizen z replied.
Then, the radio is was silent, nothing else was said.

They check the cars once again.
"Looks like this one runs! Let's go." Warren called.
Warren got in the drivers seat as the boys hopped in the back. Except for doc, he sat in the passenger seat.
10k stood, half of his body stuck out of the sun roof. Gun at ready.
Cassandra and Murphy sat in the back.
They drove quickly down the open roads.
"5,997." He counted, shooting a passing z.
As he reloaded to shoot another a voice stopped him.
"Wait! It's just a kid." Warren spoke, stopping the vehicle abruptly.
"I'll handle this." Mack voiced. Getting out of the vehicle and giving the child Z mercy.
He got back in without another word.
They headed off once again.

"We got a live one." Warren spoke again.
Stopping the vehicle once again.
"Hey, you okay?" She asked the young boy.
"A little thirsty is all." He replied.
"Of course."
10k threw down a bottle of water for her to catch. She did so and handed it to the boy.
He took a long sip before saying, "thanks ma'am."
"Call me Roberta, what's your name?"
"Sam."
"Does your mom know you're out here alone?"
"I'm going to Salt Lake City to see my dad."
"That's not a good idea." She warned.
"Yes it is, in old enough now, I finally get to meet my dad!"
"Sam, listen to me. Salt Lake City has been overrun by zombies."
"Yeah, right." He shrugged her off.
She walked along side him.
"Wait, wait! Sam, here's the thing. We've run out of food. Could you help us?"
"My friend Helen could help you get some food."
"Cool, will you show us where they live?"
Sam was hesitant.
"You take us there, we will drive you to Salt Lake City. Deal?"
"Okay!" They shook hands. And Sam hopped in the suv.
