The heavy silence was only broken by the cold beads of water slowly crashing down onto the ground in a painfully rythmic manner as my gaze locked onto the clear liquid filling the sink. The anesthetics from the surgery had worn off and I could feel the pain slowly making its way down my body as I tried to keep my quirk under control, knowing that it would only make it worst. I looked up at the cracked mirror hung up on the brick wall but as soon as my eyes met the ones of my reflection, all I could see were faint codes flowing down the smooth surface.
"I'm not..." I whispered. "YOUR GOD DAMNED PUPPET !"
Without a second thought as to what pain this may add to my body, I slammed my fist against the glass surface, shattering it against my skin as its shards dug into my already scarred hands, the blood slowly tainting the water a translucent red. You'll pay for this...one way or another.
........................
I carefully straightened my skirt and, for what seemed to be the first time in years, I caught my reflection in the mirror that sat against the wall, a reflection that didn't show my father nor the numbers they had turned me into. For a stolen moment, I silently stood there as if I was trying to process who the girl in front of me was, whether she was me or a complete stranger, a monster or a human. However, before I could turn away from the crystalline surface that I so desperately wanted to shatter under my fist once more, I felt a sharp needle sink itself in the delicate flesh of my neck, slowly inserting what I knew to be anesthetic into my body.
I took a few steps back before realizing that this feeling was unlike the ones which the previous drugs provided, this one felt as though it was slowly tearing my shoulder blades apart from one another as the Limiters made their presence known one by one. What is this...it hurts.
"Number 13, you are now free to go." Takizawa informed me. "A black limousine will be waiting for you at the front gate once the day is over, do NOT be late."
"I...have a name Takizawa." I whispered as I slowly regained my senses. "See you later...or not."
Without another word to the man whose face didn't seem to waver, I headed off into the quiet street and carefully stepped through the cherry blossom petals that had fallen to the floor as the rest danced in the air, as free as once could be. Something in the sky caught my eye as well, the same bird I had seen at the entrance exam hovering over me almost as though he had been watching me this entire time, its silver eyes piercing right through my own. Father...?
.....................
I came to a stop in front of a huge door decorated by its identification code '1.A' painted onto the smooth surface in bold red letters, and finally acknowledged the feeling of slight fear and doubt that had been wrecking my mind. This is it Juuzou...I hope you're watching. I took a deep breath and as soon as I slid the heavy door open, I was greeted by the sound of bickering which I knew could only have been caused by a singular person. My mismatched eyes beirfly swept over the classroom and surely enough, Bakugo had his feet propped up on the desk in front of him without a care in the world about the lecture that the blue boy from the entrance exam was so desperately trying to give him.
"Take your feet off of that desk now !" The blue haired boy ordered, trying to sound as if he had some sort of authority. "It's the first day and you're already disrespecting this academy by scuffing school property you cretin."
"You're kidding me right ?!" Bakugo challenged. "Your old school put a stick up your ass or were you born with it ?"
I silently made my way behind my crimson eyed friend and smacked the back of his head with as little force as possible, yet the impact was enough to make him quiet down almost immediately before his head turned towards me with a pissed off look reflected onto his face. However, that expression quickly softened into relief as his eyes locked onto mine, his hands immediately reaching out to pinch my cheeks.
