Chapter 15. Cady.
"Kellin. Kellin, wake up." Cady shook Kellin's limp, sleeping body until his icy blue eyes blinked open. He looked up at her and their eyes met. Cady craned her neck and kissed him. "Do you think you're ready to seeing your mom?" She asked as he sat up next to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He scooted closer to her and leaned his head in.
"As long as you're with me, I can do anything." He whispered with a smile as he kissed her cheek. He picked up both of her hands in his and kissed them. Cady blushed as she flipped her hair over her shoulder.
"I love you, Kellin Thompson." Cady whispered, looking into Kellin's eyes. She unwinded her fingers from his and rolled out of her bed. Kellin followed her. When he stood up straight, she pulled his shirtless body to hers.
"I don't feel like wearing the same shirt." Kellin said, his voice quivering a bit.
"I can probably find a sweatshirt that would fit you. Maybe my school sweatshirt." She pulled away from the hug and walked over to her closet.
"Please tell me it's black." Kellin asked, walking over to her.
Cady pulled the sweatshirt off the hanger and hid it behind her back as she spun around to face Kellin behind her. "Oh, you emo fag." She teased with a kiss. Taking the sweatshirt from behind her back, she threw it at him. "It's dark grey." Kellin snickered as he threw it on over his abs. He read the red print up-side-down: Fairhaven High School.
"Let's leave now. I'm ready... To see her." Kellin's voice trailed off. Cady nodded and led Kellin out of her room and down the stairs. "How are we gonna get to the hospital?"
"We'll walk." Cady said as she walked out her front door with Kellin behind.
"The hospital is kinda far away to walk, don't you think?" Kellin asked with his head down. Cady stepped in front of him and looked under his sleek black hair into his icy blue eyes.
"Kellin, it's down the road. We'll get there soon. Don't worry. I know you're worried but, I'm always here." Cady said, wrapping her arms around his waist as she perched on her tip- toes and kissed him.
