"did you hear, we have a game against Slytherin tomorrow!" said Ginny, shoving her books into her bag as we left Potions class.

"Really? I thought that was a month from now!" i replied.

"Yeah, Wood's not going to be happy," Ginny shrugged, and i nodded. i almost forgot about him.

"Okay everyone! 5 laps around the field!! then we need to have a discussion!" yelled Oliver as everyone started.

He pulled my arm back and i rolled my eyes, "i need to run, Wood."

"I won't hold you long." He breathed heavily. "Look, I'm really sorry for saying what i said. i was scared of getting into a relationship, especially considering i'm leaving after this year," he whispered, not letting go of my arm.

i nodded, pulling his hand off of me, "so that's why you rejected me that night?"

He sighed, "yes. and i'm so sorry for that."

i smiled weakly at him, and ran off catching up to Ginny to fill her in. as soon as everyone finished their laps Oliver gave a dumb short speech about how we needed to shape up, and we started playing. i saw Cormac at the bottom of the field (he's a reserve) talking with Angelina Johnson. They never talk. How weird.

Oliver sped down to them as he talked with them. i saw anger grow on his face as he called everyone down.

"so, our beaters have quit us." he sighed, shaking his head.

"what?!" i yelled as a bunch of the others started whining.

"this is outrageous," groaned Angelina, Ginny and my fellow chaser.

"i can't believe them," ginny snarled about her brothers, crossing her arms.

"so what? will we have to put Devin and Alice in?" Harry asked.

Oliver nodded, "seems so." i looked at everyone shaking their heads.

the next day was exhausting. the quidditch match started early. Devin and Alice were completely new, hardly coming to any practices we had.

oliver hit the bludger away from him as i passed the quaffle to Ginny who scored. I saw Harry dive down, Draco close behind him. "the snitch is in sight!" shouted Lee, as the two seekers chase eachother, falling behind every moment. i watched Harry scoop around the gryffindor stands. there's a whooshing sound, so i turned my head to look and then, BAM.
