He got in. He did it. He passed his audition. He was officially going to become a trainee. Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck.
The smile on his face was not going to come off for days. He knew that much. He was going to meet new people. Other trainees, and hopefully make some friends. He hoped to god he would enjoy this time. It would be hard, he would have to work hard both there and in school to make sure he didn't fall behind. But god he felt so good right now. Yuto was the first person to know and he couldn't be happier for his friend.
That day Kino showed up to school with two rings on his fingers and small dangly earrings in his ears. For some reason he felt like he wanted to revamp his image a little bit. Dress the way a trainee would. Accessorise a bit more. Deep down he just wanted to come off a little cool once he met the other trainees.
So in class, Wooseok was the first to catch on. "What's with the earrings?"
"Am I not allowed to wear earrings?" Kino says as he walks towards his desk.
"I mean it's cute that you're trying to copy me and all but you don't really pul-..."
"The last thing I would want to do is copy you. Believe me". Kino sits down at last, but Wooseok pulls his chair over so that he is sitting right beside him, with his arms now resting on Kino's desk. "What?" he asks, half confused.
Wooseok lifts his hand up and ends up stroking the dangly earing with two of his fingers. Kino flinches and moves away immediately. "The heck are you doing".
"They look cheap" he smirks before moving away back to his seat. It was true. They looked like they cost...well not a lot.
"Oh shut up" Kino scoffs, rolling his eyes at Wooseok.
Yuto ends up standing behind Kino, then grabs him by the shoulders and shakes him back and forth. "Congraaaaaatulations"
"Glad you're doing great!" Yeoone sings from his desk
"Yuto Yuto. Shush" Kino is quick to stop him. He doesn't want the class knowing. It's just something he wanted to keep to himself and his friend
"Sorry sorry. Congratulations" he whispers instead which makes Kino roll his eyes fondly.
Wooseok wanted to laugh at how obvious they were being. Well it may only be obvious because he knew why he was being congratulated. So he got in huh?
The jewellery was probably an attempt of being cooler. Trying out a new image.
When Mr.Lee started to talk through the lesson, Wooseok realised something. He hates group work. He hated presentations. And he hated the idea of being in a group with any of the chirpy bunch.
And who did he just so happen to be in a group with? Yuto. Yeoone. Jinho. Kangmin. And Kino.
For crying out loud. Did they have to do this? For real? And it was something to be done over a couple of weeks. Yay. Woo. Fantastic.
"Move your desks into your groups and discuss what you'll be doing".
The sound of scraping chairs and desks fills the room and Wooseok eyes shut tight at the sound, almost cringing from it. In the end everyone had moved apart from him.
"Your royal highness would you like to join us" Kino calls out, to which Yeoone smacks him on the knee.
"Don't talk to him like that he'll hit you"
"He wouldn't"
"He's scary looking though" Kangmin adds sheepishly.
Wooseok couldn't be bothered with anything. Not today. Not today of all days.
