"Your dad?" Kino's voice gets quiet when he hears Wooseok speak.

"Yes!" he continues to yell. It was out now and the shame that he felt was so fucking large he just wanted the ground to open up and swallow him whole. "He's...he's the one who hit me, beat me, cut me, hurt me and he's the one who did this" he says, motioning to his body.

The world falls still again, and Kino doesn't quite know what to do.

"But...why?"

"Cos he's an evil bastard" Wooseok scoffs. "He...He drinks, and has a massive problem with me being gay"

"He beats you for being gay?"

"Why you don't believe me?" Wooseok gets defensive all of a sudden, "You think I start fights for fun?"

"Hey I never said that" he puts his hands up in surrender. It was a tough concept to wrap his head around. "W-Why have you never said anything before?"

Wooseok exhales, purses his lips again and looks up the ceiling for a second. "Because it's fucking embarrassing. Everyone has such loving parents, and I'm stuck with an asshole dad who doesn't accept his kid, and goes THIS far because of something I can't control. How could I face you and admit to you that my father loves hurting me, how I don't stand up to him cos I have no where else to go, how I'm stuck in a pathetic situation and I'm too weak and too broke to do anything about it".

This explained a lot as to why Wooseok behaved the way he did.

"Christ" Kino whispers to himself, eyes the wounds on his body and thinking about how it was his own dad that caused that.

"You believe me don't you?" it sounds like a sudden plea to which Kino nods.

"I do. I do believe you, but what happened tonight for him to..."

Wooseok doesn't answer that question, and he keeps hidden that Kino is the reason it had gotten worse recently. He didn't want him feeling guilty for any of this.

"He just...had too much to drink, we got into a fight and he just went off on one. I don't know. Look I'm sorry for coming to you, I know you hate me right now and you didn't have to help me. I just...I didn't know what to do, I couldn't stay there"

Kino was a decent enough human to know that he couldn't let Wooseok go back there tonight.

"Just stay here tonight, don't go back like this"

"No, I won't do that to you"

Kino rolls his eyes immediately, "Get off your high horse. Look you can stay in my room, and I'll go to my mum's, you know she's away"

"No"

"Fucking shut up. Accept the help"

Wooseok finds that hard but he really really didn't want to go back and face his father just yet. He felt safe here, a burden too, but safe.

"You serious?" Wooseok questions.

"Yeah, look we don't have to talk about this, but..I told you before, you can talk to me about anything, and even with everything...that still stands. I won't kick you out like this. After all this time to realise it's your dad? I wish you had told me"

"You couldn't have done anything.." Wooseok says softly.

"I know, but you would have had someone to talk to"

"I guess.."

"Look, take a bunch of pain meds and stay here okay? I'll give you new bedding. Come on"

Kino rubs the back of his neck and goes into his room whilst Wooseok stays in the room, watching him walk off. God what a turn of events.
