Kino waits in the same park they all hung out in that one time. The time where they looked over the city. When the sun had just about set, like now. Creating this beautiful pale blue sky. He waits, in this calmness but his own body is full of fear.

He doesn't know why he's scared really. And truly, he doesn't actually know what he wants to say to Wooseok. He just knows he's angry. He hadn't even told Yuto that he was going to see him again, because his friend probably would have disapproved.

He waits, arms resting on the railing over looking Seoul. Maybe 15 minutes pass, and Kino finally hears footsteps.

He turns slowly, wanting time to slow down now that he knew he would have to talk. Wooseok approaches him with the black hood of his hoodie pulled up, hands stuffed into the pockets of his jeans. His own face expressed anger too. But not at Kino this time. Whereas Kino's feelings were all due to Wooseok. All due to his earlier words.

He was scared. He was nervous. He was hurt. He was allowed to be hurt right? All of these feelings that he had tried to stop, that he tried to ignore and not even become a reality. And here he was, liking a boy who didn't like him. Liking a boy who had a shitty personality, a bad temper, smoked too much.

And yet Kino couldn't help it. When the hell did that happen? When did feelings arise for him? Did it even matter now? No of course not. Wooseok didn't even ever want to be Kino's friend. All of that was a sham.

As he's in this thought process Wooseok had walked all the way over, now standing maybe 3 metres away from Kino.

Kino looks up, and he thought their eyes  would meet. But instead Wooseok is facing the ground, still bitter and sour. Wanting to escape home was one thing, but it's not like he was about to put himself into a nice and positive situation.

"I won't keep you long" are the first words out of Kino's mouth.

"It's fine" Wooseok mumbles, finally looking up to see him. "It's...whatever". Why did Kino want to speak to him. Did he not take the hint?

"I don't want to keep you long since you made it clear you don't actually like me, you never thought of me as a friend..."

Wooseok purses his lips and thinks about the words that just left Kino's mouth. He did see him a friend. He did. He felt the most comfortable with him out of everyone in that friendship group. Bar Yanan of course. He hadn't even told Yanan about being good friends with Kino.

He enjoyed Kino's company once they became better friends. When they didn't annoy each other, when they didn't fight, it was nice. It was good.

"Why pretend to be my friend if you're going to lash out. Again" Kino asks so suddenly that when Wooseok is a little taken aback.

He doesn't know what to say at this point, his fathers words are still ringing in his ears as is the slap mark across his face.

He finally looks up to Kino and though most of his face is covered by the hoodie Kino notices the redness. He doesn't say anything about it and just waits for a response that doesn't come.

"Well?"

"Well what?"

"Why did you even attempt to be friends with me when you knew you hated me"

"I don't hate you Kino" Wooseok sighs out.

"You fucking do. Your words the other day made that very clear" the swear seems to echo in the empty park.

"I don't hate you" he repeats.

"Then why. Why act this way towards me. Why be cool and fun sometimes and then just lash out?"
