"You've been a little vacant today" Hui says to Kino when they're in the dance room, hand waving in front of his face as if he tried to wake him from a trance.

"Have I?" He felt a little embarrassed to have someone notice a change in him. He didn't mean to act off, it's just that the night before he had pretty much stayed up until a ridiculous hour because his mind wouldn't shut up.

He tried so hard to explain to himself whether he actually had some kind of feelings towards Wooseok. It was hard for him to believe it after all. He was convinced, ever since he joined, that he hated him, hated his attitude, his mannerisms, his ways, the way he spoke to people.

So did he really have feelings? Or was he just infatuated with the idea of excitement that Wooseok brought. He has never had anyone look at him the way Wooseok did right before they went at it. The need, and desire, mixed with anger was just too intense to even describe.

And maybe Kino was just weak in the knees because in that one moment, when they did it, it looked like Wooseok wanted to devour him, and to be wanted like that made his heart race. And that look was engraved on his brain.

But is that all it was? Just when it came to sex, it felt exciting in that moment and that's when his feelings for Wooseok heightened? That could be the reason he felt the way he did right? Maybe he didn't want to actually be with him. After all he still had reservations towards him.

And that's exactly what Kino was doing for hours. Trying to explain to himself if this was real or not, if he really liked him or not. He settled on 'I don't know, probably not' but he wanted to see how things would turn out now that he had no plan on sleeping with Wooseok.

This way there wouldn't be that moment where Kino wanted to give in and do him. Wooseok wouldn't stare at him like he wanted him, and he could live his life without it. He couldn't avoid him. Sure. But these moments could be avoided. No fighting equals no feelings, bad or good.

"You okay?" Hui asks, when Kino went into another one of his staring moments.

"Shit yeah" he says, shaking his head to clear it "Sorry. I'm sorry I know I'm not with it today. I need to be, I don't want to make you guys think I'm not here, or my hearts not in it"

"Hey Kino, it's okay you know. You can have off days. You don't need to explain yourself to me believe me. It's okay. If you need to talk..."

Kino smiles sweetly at his hyung and pats his knee "Thank you. Means the world to me"

"Look" Hui whispers, motioning with his eyes for Kino to turn around.

Poor Yanan was being made to do certain exercises by Hongseok who was just excited to show him how to do them and what part of the body they worked on.

"Oh god. Let's pretend to be busy so he doesn't drag us into that" Kino chuckles

It was the day before the presentation and in the spirit of being strong and not fucking up, literally, Kino said yes when Wooseok asked him over to finish shit, and to go over it all.

He didn't know Wooseoks thoughts. He didn't know if ever had plans to fuck Kino, if he ever thought about it and planned on doing it or if it just happened in the moment like it did for him.

So being invited there, he doesn't know if Wooseok has an ulterior motive. Either way he wouldn't allow for anything to happen anyway.

"Hi" Wooseok greets him for the first time ever once the door is opened. Kino blinks slowly and nods at him. He felt nervous. Not because his heart was racing with love for him. No, not at all. He doesn't have active feelings for Wooseok. It's only certain moments, at least that's what he thinks. He feels nervous because he doesn't want to argue. Doesn't want to  allow that chance.

He has to pretend to be fine. Wooseok doesn't make him nervous. The possibility of shit happening does. Just gotta be strong.

"I don't wanna fuck up tomorrow so I basically need to be told what to say when to say it, and I'm a visual learner. You've got the usb of the whole thing so let's just go over the whole thing".

Kino is surprised to hear that Wooseok wants to actually do work. It's impressive. Maybe he cared enough about getting a good grade.

"Fair enough". The brunette opens up his laptop and goes through what he can with Wooseok. It's good to really know the content, and not to just make shit up on the spot. Kino delegates, and tells him when he'll speak and when Wooseok should add his own bits.

Wooseok nods to every word, but something is off in his face. He looks sad almost. Tired? He looks like he's going through some internal struggle and Kino can really pick up on it.

"You okay?" he finally asks, after a few minutes of side eyeing, just watching his unchanging expression.

"Why?"

"You look...I don't know, upset? Troubled?"

Instead of Wooseok answering he just licks over his lips and then rubs over his face with his hands. "I'm okay" he confirms, but he can even tell how dishonest that sounded.

"You sure?" Why was he even asking? It's not like he and Wooseok ever had a super deep conversation. The closest they got to that, was when Kino was crying in the equipment cupboard and Wooseok consoled him when Kino admitted that it was the anniversary of his dad's death.

But they never discussed that day or had any more moments like that. They hadn't spoken much, or at all really since that time at Kino's house. And both were trying not too be too awkward. That would make it even more awkward.

Wooseok pulls his hands away, turns to look at Kino and just nods. The brunette can tell not everything is okay though. Definitely no fighting today.

"Do you wanna go out?"

Kino panics. "What?"

"I mean like, just go eat something. I'm starving. And then we can come back here and finish the rest. I feel like I need a distraction or something"

Was something so bad that he really felt he needed this? So much so that he was willing to, in a way, hang out with Kino. It was surprising to hear, but honestly Kino was hungry too.

And this way they maybe would keep a calmer atmosphere. He was curious perhaps. To see this different side to Wooseok. The side that didn't explode, the side where the anger was subsided at least for now.

"Yeah we can get food".

"There's a good place like 3 bus stops away. Let's go get shit there".

"Alright, lead the way I guess".

Before moving Wooseok looked at Kino, and just cocked his head to the side, almost like a curious cat just watching. Kino mimics it.

"What is it?"

And Wooseok himself doesn't know. It's weird for him too, seeing Kino this calm, and almost worried for him. He could tell that the boy was curious as to why Wooseok was having an off day today. He couldn't admit to him that he finds solace in his company when he feels shitty. He doesn't like admitting that to himself. But being around him, cleared his head sometimes. Was this using Kino? Maybe. Who cared. He didn't. As long as Kino came.

"Just don't often look at your face when you're not looking at me like you hate me" Wooseok finally says.

"Right back at you". And so silence falls upon them once more until Wooseok finally makes the effort to go get his jacket.

He needed out of this house. A small break. A small break with Kino.
