And I knew oblivion was inevitable the day Dumbledore gave me a rather odd piece of advice. Life became an oscillation between uncertainty and unsafety. But seeing Terrence like this, had hurt me much more than anything.

I do not get attached to people, neither do I declare my feelings too soon. But something was wrong this time. Something was wrong with me. Were these long hours of doubtfulness and fear because of the warning the headmaster gave me or because of my inner self being afraid to fall for Terrence?

"We're being sent home." Diana said, slamming her books on the table infront of me.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Hogwarts is going on a hiatus, have you not seen the condition of the school? It could be any odd day one of us gets in deep danger."

"How d'you know?" I tried to challenge her statement.

"Because..." She leaned down, came closer to my face and looked into my eyes. "Words travel fast at Hogwarts, y/n."

"Whoo! That was intimidating."

"You should take a break from thinking about your lover." She made an odd statement.

"What do you mean?"

"Oh! How clueless are you today!" She said jokingly, while sitting down on the couch beside me. "You should take a break from Terrence."

"What do you mean?" I asked again, a part of me feeling confused.

"Can't you see? You're being delusional thinking about him. He needs time to recover I understand, but you do not need to put him before your own self."

"But, I am not."

"Yes, you are! You don't need to deteriorate your mental health in order to improve his." She said, her tone rather higher.

"Calm down, calm down." I said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Trust me, I am alright and I will be alright."

But was I alright? Or was I stuck in a loop of overthinking?

Suddenly, my eyes fell upon Terrence who just entered the common room. He looked pale, his eyes swollen and his body drowsy. He glanced at me and let out an almost unnoticeable tiny smile. I waved back with enthusiasm. Although, he looked away quickly and headed to his dorm room.

"You see what I am talking about?" Diana made a remark.
