The next day,Annalise was brutally awaken by the broad sunlight that barged in from the small slit between the two raven blue, thick curtains.
She groaned into the matress as she pushed herself and stood up escaping the warm, relaxing feeling of her bed. The cold breeze hit her face immediately sending shivers down her spine, she quivered.
She walked over the vast window and pushed the thick, fabric to the side letting the sun rays into the enormous room. The whole back yard was now revealed before her. It was a rather sunny day, the birds were flying around forming formations. It was astonishing! she smiled to herself.
On such warm summer mornings she'd grab one of her favorite literary books and sit on one of the benches at the yard, reading. It was a way for her to relax, to get away from her negative mindset.
She wore a plain purple dress robe and tied her hair in a bun. She looked at her room once again before she twisted the doorknob and exited the room.
She walked right way to the library. The room was hidden behind the big black-wooden door. The room alone it was enormous, shades of black, grey and purple were dominating the room's pallete. The walls were barely visible behind the libraries and piled bookshelfs. The gold chandelier was the only source of light along with the skylight on the roof.
Although dark and dull the library was one of her favorite rooms. She let her gaze wander for a bit before she eyed the inky coffe table in the middle of the room. It was surrounded by a purple couch with sewn pearls on it and matching arm chairs.
There were the books she'd left yesterday for the house elves to arrange. Fortunately, they didn't, she had accidentally put one of the books she was intrigued in- in there.
She sat at the couch and grabbed the book 'healing the dark arts'. That was it. The book that she was hoping of helping her. To her being a healer wasn't just a future profession but also a way of assurance. Assurance that they would be safe in the dark times that were about to come.
She stood up and excited the room, her book tightly tucked under her arms. She headed downstairs to the living room.
Her mother was sitting in the usual purple,
silk armchair. Her shoulders were pressed back proudly as her eyes were focused on the hollow. Her slim long fingers were wrapped around the small, detailed teacup."Im going mother" Annalise informed the woman. She was sure that her mother wouldn't care but she still informed.
Annalise turned her small body around and took a couple of slow-paced steps.
"Annalise!" The woman said abruptly making Annalise freeze on her tracks.
"Yes- mother" her tone soft, respectful but also steep.
"I hope you know how hard it was for me to cover up you impudent behavior last night" she said. Her palm was still wrapped around the small cup. Her eyes had slightly drifted to the side, trying to catch Annalise's reaction.
"Mother- as I said- I don't think I disrespected mr Malfoy. I just said my opinion" Annalise's gaze was glued on the average height figure that was hiding under the shadow of the black curtains.
"You said your opinions? You were being impudent and your behavior was objectionable" she retorted aggressively. Her brows eyes had snapped over Annalise's hazel ones. A certain terrific spark was visible.
"It was not- How can standing by your arguments being equated with being audacious?" Annalise's voice slightly raised as a small vindictive frown appeared on her face.
"Annalise! Enough! You must understand that such recalcitrant behavior is not allowed in this household" her mother almost bellowed.
Annalise stared at the fuming woman in awe. Her dainty fingers were fiddling with her rings and bracelets as her stare at Annalise grew even more intense.
