Oh My StarClan! It's Chapter 10 already??? :0 I didn't realise I was so far in typing this story! <--- shocked, like a boss ;D
Chapter 10:
Brackenpaw padded softly and carefully through her asleep den-mates to the exit of the apprentice den. Was she really doing this? Even though she had already promised herself to stop looking for that golden DarkClan tom?
She shook her head, hoping to clear her thoughts. No. She had already promised to see him. And this was the last time, wasn't it? Specklepaw had said so after all.
And then there was her prophecy. How could she, being a prophecised cat and all, break one of the most important warrior codes ever?
"Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle."
If she had to ever be in battle with DarkClan, will she ever be able to bare fighting Specklepaw? She thought as she saw Specklepaw waiting.
"Brackenpaw, you really came?" he acknowledged, slightly surprised she would come. "I'm so glad." He gently nudged her as she nudged him back.
Was being a loyal LightClan warrior worth how happy she felt when she was with Specklepaw?
She pounced at him as he fake-attacked her and they both fell on top of each other, chuckling and giggling.
"I'm glad I came too," Brackenpaw mewed contented as she saw Specklepaw's features turn serious suddenly.
"Brackenpaw...?" he started as she answered simply, "Yes, Specklepaw...?"
He lowered his head as he asked softly, "Brackenpaw, can you leave the clans and run away with me?" He looked earnestly into her amber eyes.
Brackenpaw's eyes widened in shock. "W...What...? How can we... w... What?" She was shocked. Appalled, even. Nothing had prepared her for what he had said.
"If we leave the clans, and live as rogues, we can stay together forever, and there wouldn't be any separations like our different clans..." he started as Brackenpaw cut him off.
"But it's against the warrior code... what about our family... our clans?" Brackenpaw argued, "Do you really want to give up all these like this?"
Specklepaw smiled sadly. "I would. But I see it's hard for you to give the clans up. Fine, I won't force you, okay? But if you ever change your mind, I must tell you, I will always love you, no matter what."
Brackenpaw mewed, "I will always love you too. But how will we ever fight each other in battle? I can never see myself fighting you."
"I can never do that either. Let's just spend our last night together in peace, alright?" Specklepaw purred as they leaned on each other, talking, chatting and making the best out of the night.
Perhaps in another life, he thought, I will make her mine...

The sun went up as Brackenpaw hurried back to camp, slightly tired but happy. She and Specklepaw had left on relatively good terms, and she still knew that he liked her.
She summoned a fat squirrel and caught it easily, bringing it back to camp to the delight of Mouseshine and Dawnwing, the two elders of LightClan.
"Thanks for the prey, Brackenpaw, we really appreciate it," Dawnwing purred as he shared the mouse with his mate.
Brackenpaw smiled as she wondered sadly, Dawnwing and Mouseshine are so lucky to still be together after all these seasons... like she'll ever be able to.
Heading to the prey pile, she noticed the newest kits, Redkit, Bluekit and Amberkit were playing with a mouse, pretending it was a DarkClan cat.
"I'll slash that DarkClan cat, until it goes back to DarkClan crying for his mommy!" Amberkit mewed seriously as Redkit and Bluekit agreed, making them all start slashing the mouse.
Brackenpaw felt a small pain in her. DarkClan... Specklepaw... were LightClan cats so against them? Will she ever be able to attack?
Jaypaw suddenly appeared, and realised why his sister was looking painfully at the mess that the mouse had become.
"Don't you kits know that it's against the warrior code to play with prey like that? Don't make me tell Thornmist!" Jaypaw snarled as he unsheathed his claws. The kits immediately ran back into the nursery, mewing, "Sorry... sorry...!"
Brackenpaw saw her brother smirk as she settled next to him with a pigeon. "Thanks. You're getting pretty good at making kits and the younger apprentices scared terribly of you now."
Jaypaw chuckled as he munched on the prey as well. "I'm talented, okay?"
Brackenpaw smiled as she looked at the forest grounds. Was it Leaf-fall already? The leaves fell down gently as one landed on her head.
Tawnypaw appeared, looking disapprovingly at the slashed up mouse. "Kits?" she asked simply as they nodded.

Billy was falling asleep in the grounds of TortureClan, the group of cats he was the current leader of, when he was transported.
He found himself not inside the abandoned twoleg barn he called home, but inside a cold and creepy forest.
"Hello Billy," a large grey tom appeared and Billy was shocked. "R... Rainstar?" he asked, "Aren't you dead?"
"I am, but you aren't. I wish to revive TortureClan back to attack the clans. Will you help me?" Rainstorm growled as Billy nodded. He had always admired Rainstorm. He had been the one to save him from his former kittypet lifestyle and taught him about the fun in bloodshed and killing other cats.
"Very well. Then from now on, any orders you receive from me, you will see in your dreams, like now. And you just have to continue raising TortureClan, and make them even more powerful," Rainstorm ordered.
"Yes Rainstar, but can I ask, where is this place?" Billy asked, slightly afraid.
"The Place Of No Stars, or The Dark Forest. Where supposedly evil cats go when they die. Hope you won't end up here too soon, though," his cold blue eyes gleamed as Billy felt himself go back to where he was formerly.
Rainstar was back... and this time he was going to finish his unfinished business alright.
