Roman's POV

The next day, Virgil got back to school. Just as he promised, he bought Logan something for his birthday, specifically a book about sherlock holmes. He thanked us for the notes and for visiting even though he wasn't there. He was back to his old self but he was quite a little cheery than usual. I was curious so I decided to ask him.

"Uhm hey, Virgil," I greeted him with a smile.

"Hey, what you need?," Virgil asked, not looking from answering their supposed to be homework that will be passed later.

"Well, I just noticed that you looked happy," I said and grabbed an empty chair nearby to sit. "You three finally talked it out?,"

Virgil stopped writing and looked at me. He smiled and I think I just felt my cheeks burning a little because of that.

"Yeah, we did. Thank you, Roman," he said then patted me by the shoulder. I snapped myself back from staring at him.

"Uh– uhm– Psh, that's what friends are for, dummy. No need to say thank you," I said, trying my best not to stutter and give myself of. He chuckled then went back to writing his homework. Before I could even stand up and get up to my seat, he said.

"Thank you for being my friend, Roman," he said, smiling at me. I stared at him for a while, I could feel my cheeks burning a little. I smiled back at him.

"You're welcome, Virgil,"

I had been daydreaming of his smile, making me unable to focus in class. He looked so happy. And that smile looked genuine and sincere. He wasn't faking it.

It was finally lunch time and we were thinking of inviting Virgil to have lunch with us again but he politely declined, saying he'll be having lunch with Janus and Remus again. We understood and decided to have lunch with him next time he's free. After packing up our stuff, Logan and I waited for Patton to come back first from helping our teacher by carrying her things before we all go have lunch at the bleachers.

While waiting, Logan was reading a book and I just looked around the room, observing everything our classmates are doing. While looking around, I noticed an unfamiliar face looking trying to look around our classroom from the front door, as if they were looking for someone. As the vice-president, I decided to approach them.

"Uh hey there, are you looking for someone?," I asked politely with a smile. The person then looked at me and gave out a nervous laugh.

"Oh, uhm sorry, I was just actually looking for my friend. I'm new here and I was told that this was his class," they said, still trying to look around past me. They faced me and asked, "Can you call Virgil Storm for me?,"

'This person is looking for Virgil?' I mentally asked myself.

"You're looking for Virgil?," I asked, wanting to know if what I heard was right. The person nodded and smiled.

"Mhmm, Virgil Storm," They said.

I stared at the person for a good 5 seconds before saying, "Uh yes, he's right over there, at the back," I said pointing at Virgil, who was still currently busy writing.

The person followed where I was pointing at and then smiled.

"Now, I see him. Virgil!," the person called, earning some attention in the room and Virgil's attention.

"Uhm do you mind if I come in?," The person asked.

"Oh sure, you could go in," I said and let him in.

"Thank you," he said before walking towards where Virgil is.

I went back to my seat and observed them from afar.

'Who is this person?' I thought.

Virgil's POV

I still wasn't done in finishing my homework. I got home late and fell asleep right away after receiving the notes that Patton, Logan and Roman left for me. At least I didn't overslept and I was even lucky enough that Emile decided to fetch me this morning.

I was still busy writing that I didn't even notice that it was actually lunch time. Patton, Logan and Roman asked me if I wanted to go have lunch with them, I politely declined and explained I'll be having lunch with Janus and Remus again. It was a good thing that they understood. I got a text from Emile saying that he'll come by and fetch me, so I decided to continue finishing my homework until he arrives.

He did arrive about after ten minutes, I heard him calling for me from the front door of our classroom and it looks like he was asking Roman. He then asked Roman something before walking up to where I sat.

"Hey, Nighty. You ready to go?," Emile asked.

"Uhm, let me pack up real quick," I said and started packing up my things. After I made sure that everything was in my bag, Emile snatched it from me and carried it himself.

"What the– Em, give me back my bag," I demanded by trying to get my bag back from him. He easily stepped back every time I tried to get it though.

"I'll be carrying this. Now, let's go. Janus and Remus are waiting for us," he said before marching out of the classroom. I sighed and shrugged then followed him out of the classroom.

Roman's POV

'Virgil let this guy carry his bag for him? Does Virgil normally do that?' I mentally asked myself while watching them. When they got out of the classroom, Patton then arrived.

"Sorry if I took too long. Teacher asked me to arrange the papers first," Patton said then got his bag from his seat. "Let's go?," He asked.

"Uh yeah, let's go, Logan," I said, standing up.

Logan got up, still reading his book. The three of us then got out of the classroom. I stopped walking when we were outside of the classroom and tried looking for Virgil and that person at the direction where they went but I didn't saw them.

"You looking for someone, kiddo?," Patton asked.

"Oh, uhm, no one," I said and faced him "Let's go," I said with a smile. The three of us continued walking.

'Who was that guy? And what is he to Virgil?' I thought.

A/N: And here's another chapter! I hope you guys enjoyed it. I wasn't actually doing anything at the moment so I thought, why not update, right? But I am sorry if it was kind of short.
