Roman's POV

I was almost near school when I saw Virgil from a distance. He was near the gate of the school. I called out to him to wait for me. Instead of stopping to wait for me, he stopped, glared at me, then walked off.

I stopped in my tracks, confused.

'What's wrong with him? Have I done something to upset him?'

I decided that I needed to confront him immediately, so I ran after him. I stopped when I saw him with Remus.

They were just standing there. Remus was whispering something to him while smirking and glancing at me. Virgil's eyes were wide. He turned to me, his gaze turning into a glare with the expression of mixed fury and disgust.

I was confused and curious so I ran towards him. I stopped right infront of them. I was about to open my mouth to speak when suddenly a hand ran across my face. My eyes widened in shock.

Virgil... just slapped me...

With a hand on my cheek, I turned to him with widened eyes.

"Virgil–," I was cut short again when he started speaking.

"I don't want you near me or any of my friends. You're not a friend of mine, you're a fake. You.Disgust.Me, Roman Prince," he said angrily said to me. When he started to walk off, that's when I saw Remus' evil grin.

My eyes widened when I realized what he just did.

"Oh and Roman," I turned to where Virgil is. His back was facing me,  "I will never like you, you f*king faker"

He continued walking off. My heart sank with those words.

"I warned you, Roman,"

My head turned back to where Remus is.

"You... You did this..."

"I warned you and you didn't listen to me," he said while he started circling me.

"I told you I don't care about your feelings"

"I told you that if you can't leave him alone, I'll make sure that he'll leave you alone"

"And now, he hates you. He hates your guts and he doesn't want to see you ever again"

I stood my ground, trying to control my temper and my emotions as he continued to mock me.

"You deserve this"

"You're a fake"

He grab a hold of both my shoulders, making me face him.

"You are..."

"PATHETIC!"

He pushed me off the sidewalk and onto the street where I saw a truck coming at me with its lights blinding me...
