Third Person POV

Virgil counted the money one last time before giving it to Roman. Virgil asked if Roman could count it again, so, he did.

"Seems like you're counting is correct," Roman said before putting the envelope filled with with money, inside his bag "I still can't believe you managed to sell all of those tickets. I really thought nobody would buy some because it's just a school production,"

"Are you kidding? It's a fund-raising event. Of course, many people would buy," Virgil said while plopping down on the purple beanie bag at the foot of his bed. Roman laughed.

"I guess you're right," He said and sat down on the other purple beanie bag. "So, is this the only reason why you asked me to come here?," He asked.

"Nope," Virgil said and grabbed his guitar, he started strumming.

Roman, getting the hint, started listening to the familiar tune that Virgil was playing. He noticed something a little different from it but was impressed when he realized Virgil added a new tune.

Roman was mesmerized by it. He closed his eyes and unconsciously started humming to it. Virgil, surprised and amazed at the same time, watched Roman in awe. A soft smile started to creep up his face as he stayed his gaze onto Roman. Virgil finishes with one last strum.

Roman opened his eyes, seeing Virgil's eyes on him. Roman froze in his spot, looking at Virgil. A blush appeared on his face that grew when he saw Virgil's soft genuine smile. He could feel his heart flutter and his cheeks grow hotter. He was like in a daze, until Virgil decided to bring him back to reality.

"So, how was it?," Virgil asked, putting the guitar gently on his bed. The smile on his face still not going away.

"I- uh- uhm–," Roman stuttered. He shook his head and took in a deep breath.

Virgil grew confused and a little concerned.

"Is something the matter, Roman?," he asked.

"I– I'm fine, uh..," Roman blurted out. "I– uhm– sorry... about that. I think it sounds beautiful. Is that for the song?," he asked, quickly changing the subject.

"Mhmm," Virgil hummed, "Emile pulled me into studying with him but then I got bored so I just started humming this certain tune. I don't know where it came from but I remembered it and was able to write it and add it to the one we wrote before I could forget," he said. Roman nodded in understanding.

"Does this mean we only need to add lyrics next? or?," Roman asked.

Virgil shrugged. "I mean, we could definitely just add lyrics to it and then just go with that but if you want to add more to the tune, you could just tell me," he said.

"Okay, okay. Noted," Roman said.

Silence started to envelope the room. Roman felt a little uncomfortable with the silence while Virgil was texting someone on his phone. Roman became curious.

"Who are you texting?," he asked. He just realized what he just said when Virgil looked up at him. He didn't want to seem nosy but he was really curious.

"I mean, just curious, y'know? I– uhm," Roman looked away, a little embarrassed.

Virgil didn't really care and answered, "It's Emile. He asked if we could eat outside for dinner tonight,"
