Sᴀᴋᴜʀᴀ's POV
Killua was giving me a look I didn't quite understand. It was like he was flustered or confused. He opened his mouth before closing it. I wanted to laugh when he opened his mouth again.
I didn't want to embarrass him, he seemed nervous. I grabbed his hand as he seemed to fumble with something behind his back. "Are you okay, Killua?" I tilted my head.
He cleared his throat quickly, nodding before holding out a flower. It was small, and a pretty yellow. "Um, I don't know how to ask you, so don't laugh."
I took the flower, he was starting to concern me and I still don't understand what's going on. "Will you, I....uh. Gon can you do this for me?" We looked at Gon who rolled his eyes at him, motioning for him to continue.
What is going on?
"I like you." He spit out. Nodding to himself.
"I like you too." I smiled.
"No..." He shook his head. "I was wondering if you maybe wanted to date." He shook his head. Date?
Taking a deep breath he asked again. "Sakura, would you want to be my girlfriend?" He like likes me?
I realized I was just staring when his face dropped and I straightened up. Girlfriend. "Of course I would!" I hugged him. Well jumped on him causing us to fall. Gon was cheering in the background.
Dating was a relationship thing. Though I didn't really understand it, I knew it was special. "You thought I would say no didn't you?" I poked his forehead.
He gave me a nervous chuckle. "Yeah." I got up helping him before he asked if I was okay. He caught me when I jumped so he should know I'm fine but I nodded anyway.
Eventually, we went to sit by the bonfire and talked about what we were going to do next. After traveling to Yorknew we planned to travel the world to find Gon's dad.
I didn't mind, I didn't mind exploring. Honestly, I know what it's like to look for the person who was supposed to raise you, who've you have never met and I hope Gon finds him like I found Hisoka.
"Hey Sakura, are you gonna tell Hisoka that you and Killua are dating?" Gon asked, tilting his head. I didn't think of that, but we just started dating. Am I supposed to tell him?
"Am I supposed to?"
"I don't know." He shrugged. I rested my chin on Killua's hair. "Would he like it?"
"I think he would. It's just Killua. He knows him and his family." Though no one likes his family. I do like two of his brothers, but his parents scare me.
-----
Eventually, we made our way back to the house and Gon started talking to Mito. With them distracted I dragged Killua away to the kitchen to give them a moment.
"Remember when I passed phase 2?" I asked, opening the fridge and scanning the ingredients.
"Yeah, you were the only one who passed the original task." He was clearly jealous of my amazing cooking skills.
"You're going to help me make dinner, and I'll teach you how to be just as good as me." I smiled at him. Mito has been taking care of all of us kids and the old lady all by herself, she deserves something nice. There was plenty of stuff to use.
"I'll set the house on fire." He tried to back out and I pulled his arm. "You'll be fine, come on." He gave me an annoyed sigh and I smirked.
Dinner was a success, despite the mess Killua had made when we were cooking. "You're cleaning it!" I pointed. He shook his head.
"You insisted that I help you cook, you never said I had to clean up." He ran off and I huffed. What a brat! How long do relationships last? As long as friendships? Maybe we'll be together forever.
I wonder how long my mom and dad were together before she passed. I stared at the mess, I wouldn't want to lose Killua...or Gon for that matter. I don't want to be alone again.
Mito walked in, "Thank you Sakura, that was delicious. I'll clean the mess, the boys ran upstairs." I nodded quickly heading to Gon's room.
They were staring at a ring and a memory card. I furrowed my brows, where did they get those from? "Hey guys. What's that?" They both looked up at me as I walked towards them.
"I don't know, it was from something my dad left for me." He looked at it closely.
"It's for a Joystation Console." I tilted my head. I don't think I've ever seen one of those. Do they even have those here?
"I don't have one of those," Gon answered.
"We'll go buy one then." Killua stood up so I stood up, followed by Gon. I didn't necessarily want to be around all those people at the dock again, but I did want to buy things. Maybe I could bu- Killua's voice interrupted me. "You should stay."
"What?! That's not fair!" I put my hands on my hips.
"You're still healing Sakura!" He pointed out. Give me a break, it's not like my organs are going to come falling out. I stared at him. "It's okay. We won't be gone long, all we're getting is the system." He assured me.
I plopped down in Gon's bed sighing. I'm seriously blaming this on Kai. If he hadn't decided to try and kill me I wouldn't have to sit here and play the waiter of the group.
It's not his fault I guess. I knew it was going to happen when we were out against each other. It's still not fair. I was technically his best friend cause I'm sure he didn't have many either.
I waited, and waited for the boys to get back. I'm sure it was less time than it felt. Killua walked in blushing, clearly embarrassed about something. Gon followed behind him laughing.
"Sakura! Aunt Mito was picking on Killua about you!" Killua just shook his head and I smiled at him. They put the system on the floor as they started to set it up. I wonder what the game thing contains.
