My eyes flew open and I was on my feet the second I heard their names. Jumping right on Killua who wrapped his arms around me hesitantly. "Happy to see you to Sakura."
Giving him one more hug I moved to Gon. I didn't jump on him like I did Killua but he did get a big hug.
Then with a squeal, I moved to Kurapika. Jumping on him with the next big hug. Ending with Leorio.
It took me a minute to notice Tonpa, but I did shove bag a fake gag. Shouldn't be mean. "I missed you guys so much!" I told them. Trying to figure out how to stay still.
They all said something back before I ran off. It was time to leave. Heading outside with the examiner from the screen.
Telling us to grab a card out of the box in the order we finished the tower. Hisoka went first, then Gittarackur, me, and so on.
Standing next to Killua looking at mine than his. Both were blank. "You will now remove that sticker." That makes sense.
Removing the sticker I looked at the number on it. '301' looking around trying to see someone else with that number.
"The number you got is the tag of who you will hunt and who hunts you." He told us. I still don't know his name. I feel like he's mentioned it.
I shoved my badge and the number I got in my pocket. Not that I needed to hide mine.
It wasn't long before a ship arrived. Telling us we were going to phase four, Zevil Island.
Leorio and Kurapika talked about not being each other's targets. Which cause me, Killua, and Gon to start that topic too. Agreeing that we show our cards at the same time.
"Three, Two, One!" Our cards were flipped and Killua looked at both of us. A look on his face.
"Wow, you guys are so unlucky!" He told us. I raised an eyebrow, as Gon asked with words.
"Do you guys even know who your targets are?" We both shook our heads. I know I didn't. I've seen 44 but I'm not sure who it was.
"Number 44 is Hisoka and 301 is Gittarackur." My eyes shot wide. You can't actually be serious.
"What about yours? Know who it is?"
"Nah but I'll find him." I have no doubt he would. I looked at Gon, who didn't look bothered. Even after finding out about Hisoka being his target.
"You have a plan?" If not he's thinking of one.
"I'll come up with it later." He stood up leaving me and Killua alone. Which made me blush for some reason.
"Why'd you guys not make it till the very last minute?" It was like right as they made it we were told we were going to the next phase.
"Leorio was being a creep and barging our hours with a prisoner. Tonpa and Leorio got in a fight and we picked the slow side and cut into the fast path. Gon's idea."
Didn't know what he meant by a slow or fast path. I wish I could've been with them. Maybe I wouldn't have had to break my fingers.
I had to fight prisoners too, minus the barging. "Did you even show Gon the butterfly trick?" He looked at me, with a little shine in his eyes.
He must've liked it. I shook my head. Didn't get the chance. "I'll show him when he comes back." He nodded and I laid my head on his shoulder.
"You're my first friend." I admitted. He tensed up a little, maybe by the confession or the fact my head was on his shoulders.
"You're mine too, and we got Gon together." I smiled. We did. I liked having friends. My side hurt and so did my fingers.
Maybe if I rest I'll be fine. I've actually never had a broken bone before. "You're hurt." He grabbed my hand looking at the sad attempt of a bandage.
I shrugged. "I'm sure I can still beat you in a fight." He chuckled shaking his head disagreeing.
"I'm trained to become an assassin you couldn't even touch me." He was confident in that. Looking at his leg I pinched him causing him to kick his leg up. "What was that for?"
I started laughing. "You told me I couldn't even touch you. Proved you wrong." He shook his head pointing at me.
"That doesn't count I meant in a fight." I stretched my legs out and stood up.
"Should've made that clear, I'll be right back." Walking off to go find my dad. Instead, I ended up running into my target again. I stopped and apologized.
"I was just looking for my father." He glanced in a direction and sure enough, he was sitting there.
I question popped into my head and I looked up at him. Backing away a little to look him straight in the eyes. "How much were you paid?"
Not sure why I cared. At least I knew I had a family. He didn't answer me. Just walked away.
He can run his mouth any other time but not now. Why would Machi even want me to know? What good would it do? Better yet, what good would it be to join the spiders?
I walked towards Hisoka, who was building a card tower. I was surprised it was stable with the way the boat rocked. "Bungee gum. It contains-" I cut him off.
"Why does Machi want me-" His eyes snapped up to me. The cards dropped and disappeared.
"Drop it Sakura!" Why was he mad at me for asking? I crossed my arms. Ready to defend myself from his unnecessary reaction.
It was dropped when a lady showed up telling us that we arrived at our destination. That we will leave in the order we made the tower.
Two minutes in between us to roam before the next is sent. Hisoka went out. While I waited patiently behind Gittarackur, hoping I'll find him.
If I didn't then I guess I'll have to find 3 random people. Since I needed 6 points to pass.
I decided to stick with Gon. Hisoka and Gittarackur seem to be friends. At least that's what Hisoka said during the 1st phase. He called him and told him to hurry up.
Hisoka took Leorio with him as Gon and Kurapika followed his sent. At least that's what Gon had told me.
I was positive Gon would go for Hisoka. I hurried and ran to the back of the line for Gon.
I had 3 minutes until I'll go. "Hey, gon. Can I stick with you?" He looked a little surprised that I asked. Killua just looked offended.
"I noticed our targets are together sometimes so maybe I'll find mine with you." I explained. He nodded with a smile.
"Good thinking. You can wait if you want." I hugged him then Killua so he wasn't left out. Heading back to the front Gittarackur was walking off. Only took me a minute. Cool.
After waiting 2 minutes I stepped off running into the shaded area and climbed into a tree. I'll wait here.
I was excited since me and Gon haven't gotten close. With this, we can. All I hope is that he doesn't get hurt going after Hisoka.
