We all made it out of the giant tunnel and right away we began arguing about who made it out first.
We couldn't decide between us so we had Mr. Satotz's help. Which he did, claiming we all made it simultaneously.
I pouted at the news. Was hoping I would get a free meal. Still can't help but remember I was still hungry.
Gon came up with an idea to handle the situation. "How about we all just split each other's bill?"
It sounded reasonable so me and Killua both agreed. I can't argue over it, especially since I'm still technically getting a free meal. After we passed it wasn't that long before others made it through next.
Most of us passed but one guy who was like a foot there but he didn't move fast enough as it closed in front of him.
I was going to help but if he couldn't finish when he was that close then he shouldn't be here.
As soon as it closed Mr. Satotz began explaining where we were and the dangers of it.
"The Milsy Wetlands, also known as Swindlers Swamp. We must cross it to reach Phase 2 of the exam. This place is home to a variety of bizarre creatures, many of which are crafty voracious creatures who deceive and feast on human prey."
It sounded exciting, and like really dangerous. "So please be very careful. If you are deceived, you'll surely die."
I wonder how many people have died here, or what the creatures looked like. Surely they were interesting enough to wanna have us go through it.
"These wetland creatures are not to be underestimated for they will use every trick in the book to fool their prey. This is an ecosystem in which every creature hunts by the art of deception and this is why it is also known as Swindlers Swamp."
Even has two names. I'm just happy he wanted to tell us about it. "Now then, please follow me closely so you won't be deceived."
Mr. Satotz spoke carefully. He really wanted to get the point across. Surely everyone would know to follow him, and with the way the fog was, it wasn't going to be easy.
As we prepared to follow him someone shouted a warning. "Don't fall for it!" We all turned toward the voice.
Which came from a dirty beaten-up man. "Don't let him fool you. He's lying, that man is lying to you!" He accused.
I'm trying to figure out if he's lying about the wetlands being dangerous or something else.
Besides, why would he warn us if it's dangerous? "He's an imposter. A total fraud. I'm the real examiner, you got it!?"
