Kennedy swallowed down her entire water bottle after she and Jon had finished their workout here in Vegas. He insisted on taking her running in the sandy mountains; it was scary at first since it included jumping over cracks and trying to fall through, but Jon was sure to make her feel safe.

"You good?" He snickered, staring as she placed the water bottle down on the counter and puff.

"Just peachy." She responded, catching her breath.

"What time are your parents coming?" He called for going through the fridge to cook them up some breakfast.

"Around 11, what about Colby and Joe?" She asked, looking through the stack of mail that accumulated.

"I told them 11:30, but they usually show up early, anyway. Anything important come in?" He asked, peeping over her shoulder before turning around to place a pan on the stove.

"Bills...bills...more bills...whose Sandra Good?" She ordered turning around holding the envelope up and staring at Jon who grumbled and took it from her hand ripping it open to read.

"Hi Jon, how are you doing? Are you doing fine? Michelle and I miss you so much, we watch you on TV every Monday. Alice asks about you and that girl, Kennedy. She wonders if you two are together in real life, she thinks she's real pretty. I know you don't respond too often, but I hope this finds you well. Thanks for paying our bills for last month, but we've already told you we can pay it. Stop wasting your money on us Jon, we're fine son. If you're ever in Cincinnati, please let us know, we want to see you again. We love you, Jon."

Kennedy read over his shoulder. Sandra? Michelle? Alice? Who were these three?

"Well, who is it?" Kennedy followed behind him after he placed it down and shook his head.

"Hello? Earth to Jon? Are you just going to ignore me?" She snapped her fingers and waved her hands in his face.

"She's my mom. Michelle is my little sister and Alice is her daughter, my niece."

Her mouth hung open a little as her arm rested on the counter. She didn't know what to say. She would assume he would be happy to hear from them, but he looked dissatisfied.

"I-I thought you didn't have family."

"I have family, just not close with them, that's all." He said plainly, flipping the eggs over in the pan.

"Well, why? They sound real nice." She frowned, bring one of her palms to rest on his shoulder blade.

"They're just too far away to talk to."

She furrowed her eyebrows at the ridiculousness. She knew there was more to it.

"Is there more? There has to be more because that's a ridiculous reason to not speak to your famil-"

"Just drop it Kennedy, it's not important." He twisted to her, pointing the spatula at her then going back to cooking.

"Whatever." She whispered, waving his childlike attitude off and heading to the bedroom to take a quick shower before everyone showed up.

While she washed off her body, she tried to think of all the reasons in which Jonathan wouldn't truly want to speak with his family. His mother seemed nice in the letter and considering they were up to date with the things going on in WWE she assumed they were close to him but it wasn't it seemed.

As she walked out of the bedroom drying her hair with a towel, Jon had his back turned to her as he plated the food for them.

"Looks good." She said quietly behind him as he turned around with her a plate filled with eggs, bacon, and some toast.
