Kennedy and Jon walked through the corridors of the halls, Jon pushing the stroller as Kennedy carried Zoey in her arms, the three of them wearing big smiles. They had officially adopted Zoey after two hectic weeks. They were back and forth between Hartford to talk with their lawyers and get the legalities of the adoption handled, all while bouncing back onto their crazy work schedules. But nevertheless they were thankful that it all happened the way it did.
"Surprise!" a room full of superstars shouted out excitedly. They had all gotten together and decorated Kennedy's office with balloons, banners, and toys for the child that was now apart of their family.
Zoey was now officially and legally Zoey Bella Levesque Good.
A mouthful, but she was the most precious.
"Oh my gosh, thank you guys so much." Kennedy grinned, tears brimming her eyes as she stood at the front of the room, still in shock.
This journey that she and Jon were on as new parents was extremely hectic, but it the best way possible. It was crazy to think that life was just getting started for the two of them when Jon proposed to her, but adding on a child brought them closer and really solidified their partnership together.
"This is neat," Jon chuckled, looking over at Joe and Colby, who wore paper hats and blew party horns.
"Since she can't eat a cake yet, I got fruit cups—strawberries, bananas, and blueberries." Stephanie said, gesturing to the food on the table.
"I love it, thank you." Kennedy smiled as she and Jon walked up to her mom, giving her a big hug.
"Has she started eating solids?" Her dad asked, and she nodded. She and Jon began feeding her baby food since she was at the 6 month mark.
"Have a bite, Zoe." Kennedy declared happily as Jon picked up a small spoonful of the mashed bananas and fed it to her.
"Yay!" the superstars clapped as her dad snapped photos of the affair, wanting to keep memories of it all.
"Hey y'all, Kennedy and I really appreciate all of this. It's been a heck of a ride so far, but you've all helped us and we're thankful—especially to the parents in here who have given us advice." Jon spoke out loud as the superstars voiced their "your welcome's"
"Seriously, we can't thank you guys enough for making this special for our family. We love you guys." Kennedy sniffled, smiling as she nuzzled her head closer to Zoey.
"Now come on, don't cry, Kennedy." Colby joked, pulling her into a hug as she laughed and playfully brushed him off.
"Group hug before the show starts, everyone." Steph shouted as they all embraced.
Slowly, the superstars exited the boss's office, but her parents and a few of their close friends remained.
"She likes the toy we got her." Becky nudged Colby, watching as Zoey played with the blocks.
"Speaking of, we all have a little something for you guys." Her dad announced, standing up and giving a key over to her and Jon, who rose their brows.
"We know that you two have been running around different cities and back to Hartford to get things settled and barely have gotten any time for yourselves. So we all pitched in for you two to have a nice two-day stay at a hotel in Vegas next week." Her mom smiled.
"And don't worry, since we'll be in town we'll watch Zoey so you two can have some alone time—god I can't believe I'm saying that." Paul added referring to the last part as everyone laughed.
"Thanks guys, this is really nice of you." Kennedy smiled, giving each of them a hug.
"I still can't believe we're parents." Jon sighed, watching as Zoey played on her mat.
