Even after the creative pitch that was supposed to give Kennedy some control, It was hard for Kennedy and Jon to keep their emotions at bay while they were at work facing Kennedy's fertility issues behind the scenes. They looked into the treatment that Dr. Colace suggested and Kennedy agreed that she would go through with the treatment in hopes of it giving her and Jon a better chance at conceiving.
Though she was still a little disheartened by the news, she knew that she had to get herself together for her match at Money In The Bank. If she wasn't in the right headspace, it would mess with her confidence and end up hurting herself or Ashley in the match, which is definitely not what she wanted.
She stood on the ramp as Jon, Zoey, and her parents watched from the ring. Kennedy had one last match on Monday Night Raw before Money In The Bank and it would be against Sasha during the middle of the night, however she would not win the match as Ric would come out and distract Kennedy and Charlotte would show up later for their signing.
"Kennedy, tonight I want you to be so cocky that the crowd tries to hate you, but they can't help but love you." Vince lectured her from the top of the ramp as she nodded.
"Should I do something different with my entrance? She suggested, and her grandfather nodded.
"I want you to just go out there and be as cocky as ever. Give me a mix of your mother but still remain yourself."
"Go back into gorilla and I'll cue your music, alright? Just come out here and have fun, but play that character." He pointed to gorilla.
"Got it." She smiled, flipping back her hair and waiting until she heard her music begin playing.
She remembered the rare occasions where she would turn on Raw or SmackDown and see her mom opening up the shows. Sometimes she'd sing along to her theme song, shake her shoulders around to the beat, and sassily dance around to the music, so she figured she'd do the same.
"I'm all grown up now..." Kennedy waited a few seconds be heading out the curtain.
She did her signature walk, holding her arms out wide with a big smirk on her face. Then she began strutting to the beat of the song, singing along to the music, and shimmying her shoulders until she got into the ring. Kennedy knew that this one be one of her last entrances on Raw for a good while so she wanted to take her time and enjoy it.
Her music slowly died down as she entered the ring, Jon and her parents stepping back to allow her to get the full practice in.
"How'd that look?" Kennedy called out to her grandpa as she leaned against the ropes.
"Fantastic, Kenny!" He smiled, giving her a thumbs up.
She spun around and grinned, seeing smirks on her parents' and Jon's face.
"Well, aren't you a sassy girl?" Her father chuckled, shaking his head and crossing his arms across his chest.
"I got it from my mama." She retorted, sending her mom a sly smile that she liked.
"You gotta be real nasty in this match tonight—play dirty, just like how Mercedes does." Jon advised her, and she nodded.
Her and Mercedes were pumped when they heard that this match was happening. Kennedy knew that Cedes was on a whole other level of pure athleticism, so she really wants to push her limits and take this match to its max. They were practicing moves throughout the week, along with her and Ashley training for their cell match. Kennedy was able to get a feel of the cage and practiced taking a few bumps that would be included in the match.
"So you've got three entrances tonight, alright?" Her grandfather said as he stepped into the ring and looked down at his clipboard.
"Three?" Kennedy rose her brow and peeked over at his papers.
