Kennedy hissed, biting down on her thumb as Jon did his best to gently stick the needle into the skin around her belly button, where Dr. Colace told him to deliver the drug.

"I'm sorry, doll, it's almost done." He murmured, gradually pressing down onto the plunger, making sure all the medication would be inserted before drawing it out and tossing it into the hazard bin.

He swiped an alcohol pad over the area and pulled her shirt back down.

"How was that?" He proposed, rubbing her knee as she gave him a faint smile.

"It's not as bad as the first time, I'm kinda getting used to it," she shrugged her shoulders

She rubbed at the area where he had just injected her in, "it's just the initial part where the needle goes in that makes me squirm." She rested her arms on his shoulder as she remained on the bathroom counter where she sat.

"I'll try to be more gentle next time." He withdrew, and she shook her head reassuringly, grazing her fingers across his cheekbones.

"You're doing your best, sweet face. Trust me, I know it's not easy seeing me in pain, but you're doing really good and I'm thankful that you're doing this with me." She encouraged him.

It was now a good three weeks since Kennedy had begun the Gonadotropin treatment and it was an entire process that her and Jon had to learn how to do. She was highly impressed by how Jon got down all the information and steps down quickly. She had assumed that she would be administering the drug to herself since she knew Jon didn't like seeing her in pain—but he offered to do so because he wanted to and knew that this was something Kennedy couldn't do alone.

But it had been a rough three weeks for Kennedy on the drug since it had to be administered every day at exactly 5:30 PM. Side effects of the drug were mild, but it began taking a toll on her. Constant headaches, nausea, tiredness, and pain were something that became the new normal for her—but it was especially tiring due to her chaotic schedule. Both of them just couldn't believe how stressful trying to get pregnant was starting to become. Kennedy and Jon both worked together to track her ovulation, basically scheduling sex, and making more trips back home to check in with Dr. Colace in hopes of making progress.

With them being back on the road, it was important that they were still in a strict routine. Kennedy couldn't risk missing even a day of her drug or else it'd throw off her ovulation and give her and Jon a harder time at getting pregnant.

"I should head back into the arena. I have a meeting with Nikki and Nattie about their feud." Kennedy sighed, hopping off the counter and looking at herself in the mirror.

Jon stared at her, resting a hand on the small of her back, "I'll stay here with Zoe. You go ahead and don't be too long. You need a break."

She nodded, "It won't take me long, just have to run through a few things about their promo." She said, running her fingers through her head and turning around to face him.

"Sex tonight at 11?" She glowed, brightening the mood as he chuckled and nodded.

"As always, darling—I'll see you soon." He pulled her close and gave her a kiss before watching her run along off the bus.

She quickly rushed around the halls, attempting to find the creative writing office where she eventually found Nicole and Nattie already awaiting her, along with a couple of writers, including Johnny.

"Sorry guys, Zoey needed a quick diaper change." She partially lied, taking a seat.

"Oh no worries, we just got here a few minutes ago!" Nicole assured her cheerfully as Kennedy passed her a graceful smile.
