"What are you doing in my sister's room?"

"No need to be rude, Beca"

"Whatever. Sooner that this is done with the better. I have places to be"

"If you're going to be moody, then go. I can move myself in" Emily eye rolled.

"I'll help, just can't stay. I'm meeting Stacie"

"How she puts up with you, I'll never know"

"Well I could sat the same to your friend here about you"

"Right, I have no idea who you are, but leave Aubrey out of this. We'll be out of your way in a few minutes"

"Oh, sorry. Chloe this is the biggest pain in the ass, Beca Mitchell"

"This is her?"

"'Fraid so"

Beca smirked at Chloe. "I guess she's told you all about me, then"

"Yes, I have. She needs to know who to stay away from"

Emily had enough of the bickering between Aubrey and Beca. She'd heard so much about Aubrey, but never said anything. She knew exactly how Beca was.

"Beca, just leave it, ok? If you're going to help, help. Otherwise go meet Stacie"

"Fine whatever. See you later. Oh by the way, Amy wants you to come to the party tomorrow night. Invite your roomie too. Aubrey, feel free"

"Wow, you couldn't have been more sarcastic about that if you tried"

"Fine. We'll be there, just go. And no, I won't tell your Dad. I can't deal with any more family dramas right now"

When Beca closed the door, it was as if everyone was holding in their breaths and took a long exhale.

"So, she's nice" Chloe spoke up.

"Yeah, sorry. That's my step sister, who usually doesn't exactly acknowledge that I'm living unless it's Amy or her father. My mother is married to Frances, her Dad. I'm not sure what happened, but something happened, and she hates me. Literally only talks to me when it suits her. It's interesting to say the least"

"Don't apologize for your sister, Emily. She's a character. I go to their house, I'm friends with Jesse, one of her house friends. We're studying Science together. I can't stand her attitude, unless you're Stacie, Amy, or anyone that lives in that house, you get the sarcastic pleasant Beca. Sorry, I know she's your sister, I just can't stand her. Chloe, please just stay away from her. She's no good"

"Oh, don't worry about it. I had to live with her before she came here. Trust me, she was exactly like that in school. She's been like that for as long as I can remember"

"So, how come you're here studying?" Chloe asked.

"Because my Mother knows people, she got Beca into this school at a discounted rate, and the same for me. Besides, it's not like I'm going to see her everyday" Emily chuckled.

"So, Chloe, met your roommate yet?"

"Yeah, and the infamous Beca Mitchell, who happens to be Emily's sister"

"Oh god, I bet that was interesting"

"It was awkward, to say the least. But Emily's nice. We'll get along"

At half 8, Chloe's parents, Aubrey, and Chloe were sat down eating. They were so hungry, but David and Jenny were happy that Chloe was happy. But they had something to talk to Chloe about, and they figured that with Aubrey there, it wouldn't be too bad.

"So, Chloe?" David spoke.

She looked up.

"We've both got something to say to you, and we wanted to wait for you to be with Aubrey"

Both Chloe and Aubrey looked at each other with confusion.

"What about?"

"Look, Chlo, the thing is, my school, is sending me away. I'm heading to Australia, for a year. I didn't know how to tell you before. The school were picked for one of the English teachers to go and teach kids how to write. Kids like you, who have a passion for writing. I was asked, and I couldn't say no. I'll be back for your birthday, but I will be away for Christmas"

"Is it just for a year?"

"Yes, I can assure you it's just for a year"

"Ok"

Chloe took it surprisingly well, they both thought that she would get mad for them to not say anything.

The rest of the dinner went smoothly, and it was nice. David and Jenny were leaving the day after tomorrow. They wanted to make sure that Chloe was settled in. After all, only Jenny would see her at Christmas.

"What time do you pick up your pack tomorrow?"

"10am, and then it's whatever for the rest of the day. Oh, we have a party tomorrow night"

"A party? Already?"

"Yeah, Emily, my roommate, we've been invited to go to a party with Emily"

"I wouldn't exactly say that Chlo. Beca, she invited us, more so for Emily's sake I think"

"Yeah, it's weird, she's weird. Beca, not Emily"

Chloe was back in her room. She was a bit upset that her father hadn't told her beforehand that he was going away for a year, but she was away, and happy for him. She knows how much he loves writing, and always loves teaching new people how to write.

"You packed quickly Emily"

"Yeah, I didn't have much with me, just the essentials. Besides if I forgot anything, I can always go home and get it. Perks of being close I suppose"

They spent a lot of time talking about each other's lives and where they lived. Emily was glad that her roommate wasn't the opposite of her. She didn't know what to expect, but she wouldn't have expected Chloe the way she is. The way that she'll just talk to her. No one spent time talking to Emily, they just treated her like Beca, even though they weren't related, nor the same as Beca. Her personality was the opposite of Beca.

"So, what time's this party tomorrow?"

"You're coming?" Emily smiled.

"Yeah, why not. Even Aubrey"

"You'll get along with Jesse, and another guy called Benji, oh, and Amy. But everyone gets on with Amy. It's just Stacie and Beca. They're always out, drinking, causing havoc, basically anything to rile Frances up. Stacie practically lived with us for the whole of senior year, well whenever she was there anyway. I still wonder now how they passed with high grades"

"Are they together?"

"Oh no, just very close. She's my sister, but she's not one to settle down, she's one of these people, and Stacie, who'll just go out and sleep with anyone for 'fun'. If you ask me, what's fun about that, you know? I don't get it, but it's what they do. They caused so much trouble in high school. But they have calmed down a bit since being here. Trust me, the two-year ago Beca, you'd want to punch, believe me. you have got no idea how many times I lost it with her"

"That bad, huh?" Chloe chuckled.

"Yeah, it was fun. She always knew and still knows how to push his buttons"

"What about her mum?"

"She lives in England. She blames my Mum for that. But I don't know much of what happened, I tend to stay out of it"

They didn't realise how late it was until Emily looked over at the clock, seeing that it was nearly two in the morning. They spent a lot of time talking and laughing. If you were there with them, and saw them, you'd think that they'd known each other their whole lives, when really, they only met that afternoon. It's inevitable that the two of them, with Aubrey are going to be great friends.
