AUTHOR'S POINT OF VIEW

SAMUEL doesn't know how to face the woman who was sitting in a corner of that famous restaurant. All these years he made her suffer.

The woman slowly turning her gaze to where Samuel at, after her secretary announces his entrance. Samuel saw a woman with pain in her eyes.

Kinakabahan man ay nagpatuloy ito sa paglalakad papunta sa gawing kinaruruonan ni Nora Santillian.

The woman stands up as Samuel approaches her and then give the old man a hard slap. The latter shocked for a moment but he manage to look at her directly in her eyes.

"After all, I deserved more than that, Nora." He said with a calm voice.

"Indeed, Samuel." Calm answer from her.

"Please sit, join me for dinner." He offered. Nora didn't say anything but she accepted the offer by sitting at the chair her sitting a while ago.

Silent atmosphere was serving to the both of them. The food becomes cold.

"I'm sorry." Samuel broke the silence. Nora looks at him like someone who's scanning if he meant the words he utters.

"I was wrong. My grandson told me I was selfish. He said I wasn't in pain but greedy." He stopped and looks at her.

"I agree."

Samuel slips a smile in his face.

"Why?" he said with that questioning look at her.

"What do you mean?" Nora doesn't get the question he wanted to ask her.

"For once, why you didn't get your revenge on me? After what I've done to you, never once you did." He said

Nora gives a heavy sigh.

"Provoking you is the best revenge I ever did. Look, you even used your grandson's to bring me down." Samuel knows that it wasn't the answer Nora really mean. Because the latter smile like she's telling a joke.

She sighs again and look at him with sincerity. "Because of Love. I always keep that little reason for me to take back my revenge. I did wish you will turn to me again like how you always did way back years ago, that after the mourning you will accept me and forget Leonora but I was wrong. Martir na kung martir but I'm deeply on love with you that time." She paused then look at him with those hurtful eyes.

"I tried but revenge is not my thing. I guess my revenge won't give me happiness and besides I'm too old for that."

Nora smiled that it became a laughter that even Samuel laugh. Their laughter become music to their ears and to the person's outside that door.

"I'm sorry." Samuel utter.

"I'll accept your apology if you will assured that your granddaughter will gonna marry my grandson." She stated.

Samuel rise his glass of wine indicating a cheers to Nora, the latter did the same.

"As long as he will love my precious."

"Surely he will."

A clang of a glass sealed the promised as they sealed the past that made them hurt for years.

AFTER 2 YEARS...

"Hey don't be tense, you look like an idiot." Dominic whisper as we are now standing in front of the aisle while waiting for my soon to be bride to take her walk and take my hand to swear our vows.
