Way Back Into Love

["Sir, the proposed contract was handed to the Director of Athens Company"]

"Make sure Monteverde Empire won't be involved in this negotiation."

["I will, Sir."]

I smiled as what he said. Let the game begin, Nora Santillian.

"Looking at your face right now makes me think that you have a devil intention, plan or something." I look at her while setting up the movie that she suggested to watch.

"Just just. Come here already."

She shook her head and joined me in a couch where I'm sitting. It's Sunday morning, originally I wanted to go out with her but because of her monthly visit we stayed here at her condo. I don't have any against on it. I like this kind of spending time with her.

I'm more comfortable with the fact that no other men will look at her.

"Do you like to eat something before the movie start?"

"You." I said that made her blush.

"Idiot, you can't" she said and gives me a wide annoying smile.

Napailing nalang ako sa ginawa nito. I love how she acts as a child towards me; it makes me want to spoil her more.

"Anyways, what's the title of the movie again?" I ask her as I saw the excitement in her face.

"Anastasia." She proudly said.

"Anastasia, what?". Taka kung tanong dito. Ngumuso naman ito upang ibalik ko sa television ang pansin ko. I almost stand up as I saw the most popular company logo.

"A Disney Movie?" baling kong tanong dito. She put her finger in her mouth, indicating to put me in silence. Napa-iling nalang ako dito.

She's more concentrated watching the movie. While I'm looking at her the more I become curious about her. It's too early for me to say that I'm in love with her but all I know, I'm doing something that will lead me to that thing, sooner and I'm aware that I can't stop that feeling anymore.

"Why he's a coward? It's hard to tell her that he fall in love with her? Idiot." She said. Napangiti naman ako dahil sa sinabi nito.

"It doesn't mean he can't tell her his feelings make him a coward." I utter those words out of thinking; she looks at me with confused look.

"For me he's afraid more than a coward."

"Afraid of what? That Anastasia won't love him back? Then that's made him more being a coward." Anans nito na tila ayaw magpatalo sa usapang ito.

I look at her with a sincere gaze.

"He's afraid of his unsure feelings towards Anastasia. He's afraid that he might hurt her with things that uncertain. He's afraid that it's not enough to love her with the feeling that he had for her that it can't justify with just the action itself."

She looks at me with disappointed look that made my heart uncomfortable.

"Then he indeed a coward and asshole." I saw pain in her eyes. Magsasalita na sana ako nang tumunog ang cellphone nito.

Tumayo ito upang sagutin ang tawag sakto ding tumunog ang cellphone ko.

"Yes"

"Sir we have an urgent meeting today."

"What? I thought my schedule for today was empty. What's with the sudden meeting?" napakunot naman ang nook o dahil sa tawag nang secretary ko. Napatingin naman ako sa gawi ni Margaux, she still talking in her phone.
