GREGORY

A RINGING phone wakes me up.

"Hello" walang gana kong sagot.

"Wake up sleepy head." Other person said.

"C-Carol?" I utter as I recognize her voice.

"The one and only"

"Where are you?"

"Airport" maikli nyang sabi

"Hintayin mo ako susun—"

"No I can take care of myself, see you in M.E, don't tell the others. Let's meet at Kuya Yvo's office."

"Ok th---"

I didn't finished what I'm going to say when she cut the call. I shake my head for disbelief. She ended a spoiled brat. As I remember, Carol was not like this when she was in high school, Ashley maybe but not Carol.

One week had passed after my conversation to Lolo Samuel and there is Carol going home. Isa lang ibig sabihin nito, I need to fix my flight for Paris next week.

Agad na man akong bumangon at nag ayos. It almost noon, usually hindi na ako ag be-breakfast lalo na kung busy na.

Good thing that my condo was only 30 minutes away from Monteverde Empire waalng hassle kapag nagmamadali ako.

Before going to Yvo's office which in 35th floor, I visit Trevor's office first in 25th floor.

Naabutan ko itong umiinom, ano kayang problema ng mokong na ito

"Early drink, problem?"

"Nothing in particular"

"Kamusta na sya?"

I look at his reaction when he looked at me. I saw anger in his eyes. Nakita ko kung paano nito ikinuyom ang libreng kamao and then he turn his sight elsewhere while letting go of his glass of whiskey.

"Still in a coma." Maikling sagot nito.

I give him a heavy sigh before telling the words that I keep saying to him. "Di nya kasalanan lahat Trevor, wag mo ibaling lahat ng akusa sa kanya" I told this to him for a reminder.

"Everything is her fault" he look at me as if he is willing to kill someone just to justify his words.

I didn't say anything back. I know he's hurt but it doesn't mean he had to blame everything to the person who hurt him. I can't blame him for building a ball of anger on his chest, I'm hurt too, but the hurtful I felt was way different from him.

The ringing of my phone keeps the silent atmosphere vanishes.

"Troy?" I said. Troy is Trevor's younger brother and my idiot cousin.

"[Nakita ko na si Sydney]"

"Where?"

"[Dito sa baba, langya ang ganda at hot nya]"

"Loko galawin muna lahat wag lang yan. Yari ka kay Yvo nyan, manyakis ka talaga Troy"

"[aray-!!!!! Ash ano ba! Tsk sige na kuya Gregory kita nalang tayo]"

"We're be going to Yvo's office." Saad ko dito

"[Sige]"

I put my phone and then look at Trevor who drink his remaining whiskey.

"What did he say?" tanong ni Trevor

"Sydney's here, tara punta tayo kay Yvo"

Nauna pa itong maglakad palabas nang opisina nito, wala man lang ka emosyong lumabas ito ng opisina. Kaya hirap itong e approached minsan dahil sa appearance na pinapakita nito sa ibang tao. Trevor is a good man, he just protecting his feeling to the people who always taking advantage of him.
