"So, what you're trying to tell me is, I can't fake a loved one or my own death to escape coming to rehearsals today?"
"Get your stupid ass over here and face it like a woman! We can't rehearse without the protagonist!" Soojin spoke over the phone.
Haru was already on her way, and she was mentally regretting every kilometer her car was making to get her to the theatre. The thought of having to be alone all evening with Yunho and San sent her in complete panic mode, and Soojin shouting at her was only going to fuel her incoming panic attack.
"Let me speak to Joy, I need someone nice to speak to"
"Ugh, okay"
The static of the phone lasted for a couple of seconds before Joy answered the phone.
"Thank god, Joy... Is there any way you can magically make me feel better?"
"I'm afraid not, sorry" she replied "But we really need you here. Are you on your way yet?"
"I'll be there in five"
"Good, we'll talk once you get here. Everything's going to be fine, okay sweetheart?"
"Where would I be without you..." she cooed, hanging up the phone.
In the little time she had before getting to the theatre, she tried to give herself a little pep talk.
You're an actress. You're a talented musical actress, and you're most and foremost, professional. So now, get yourself on stage, get to work, and forget about everything else. From now on you're not Haru anymore, you're a clean slate, you're a body ready to be inhabited by someone else. San doesn't exist, Yunho doesn't exist, everything that happened yesterday will stay in the past.
"I'm that bitch. I can do this"

"Ok good job everyone! See you on Wednesday!"
The moment she heard those words come from Hongjoong's mouth, she felt sick to her stomach. She quickly said goodbye to her friends, then followed Yunho to the practice room where San and Yeosang, the head of the tech crew, were setting up the new audio system Mr. Choi had bought to replace the ancient, malfunctioning one.
Yeosang was probably the best sound engineer around: he and Wooyoung were truly the only ones who managed to keep their sanities almost intact, even during tech week, when every little mistake sounds like an omen of the future complete screw-up of a play.
"Hey, how's it going?"
"Hi Haru, Yunho" Yeosang cheerfully replied, not even bothering to look at them since he was busy testing the new equipment.
"How did you know it was us?" Yunho asked.
"The mirror, dumbass"
Haru couldn't help but notice the blush on Yunho's cheeks. She would've found it cute if San hadn't jumped up to them and put one hand on her shoulder, the other one on Yunho's one.
"You two are my prisoners for the next two hours" he deadpanned, before breaking in a cheeky smile "I'm kidding, I'll just go check something with Hongjoong and then we can start"
With that said, San exited the room, quickly followed by Yeosang who was done setting the audio equipment up.
"Good luck guys, see you tomorrow!"
