Abuse

The abuse I have been through
Made me a victim of sympathy and pity
Yet justice wasn't their to protect me
Proof seems to find it's way to escape
Leaving me in the darkness
Where he appears and takes advantage of innocence
No one was there to defend or even protect me from him
Because I was his little prey stuck in a trap
As I shut my eyes from this nightmare
Yet I forgot this was reality
Just waiting for someone to hear my silent screams and begs
Knowing he's hiding in the dark
Ready to pounce at the right time
We all hide that side from the world
The dark and broken side
Yet I'm exposing myself
Why?
Because I'm always having this deafening pain in me
Isolating myself from everyone
As abuse smiles with victory
Don't let it hurt you like how it did to me
Rise your voice for justice
Because some day I will too.
