"What I don't like is that you still have feelings for him too,"

Those lines kept repeating in my head as I looked at Wayne in disbelief.

"Wayne, you're really bugging. Do you know how long it has been since we've been dating?" I said.

"Yeah, but I can see it. The way your eyes light up when you're around him. The way you laugh at all his jokes. Everything. It's so obvious." Wayne said.

"No," I said, beginning to get my clothes ready so that I could take a shower.

"You're just being in denial. But you know what, I'm going to have to respect your feelings anyway because you can't help the way that you feel for your 'first love.' I just hope you realize that we have a child on the way." Wayne said.

I stopped. "So what is that supposed to mean? Are you trying to say that we're not going to last?" I asked as I dropped my clothes on the bed.

Wayne grabbed his phone. "No. What, is that what you're suggesting?" He got defensive.

"I'm not suggesting anything at all. It's just that you're the one talking as if we're not going to be together." I said.

"Yeah, alright. Whatever." Wayne sat down on the bed and got back on his phone. I sucked my teeth and picked up my clothes again. I decided to destress by taking a nice, hot shower.

After I got out of the shower, Wayne didn't say a word to me. He just picked up his clothes that he had picked out while I was in the shower, and went in the bathroom.

I sighed as I went to the dresser to get some lotion. I hated that Wayne and I were arguing, but I feel like he was really overexaggerating.

My thoughts were interuppted when my phone buzzed.

I went over to the bed and read the message.

Hey, it's Jacob.

When I got finished putting my lotion on, I went over to my bed and picked up the phone.

Hey Jacob, wassup?

We continued texting.

Jacob: Nm really, about to practice these songs for church. Hbu?

Me: Just got out the shower.

Jacob: Ohh okay, cool. Well, how was your day?

Me: A little stressful, but besides all of that it was cool. I enjoyed church service and choir.

Jacob: You should really join the choir, though. We could really use someone like you. Your voice is as beautiful as you are.

That made me blush.

Me: Aw, thanks

Jacob: No problem beautiful.

Me: How was your day?

Jacob: It was alright. Besides the obvious, I'd agree that church service and choir was good.

Me: That's good.

Jacob: Yep. Well, It's getting kind of late. I'm going to text you tomorrow morning lady bug. Good night. Sweet Dreams.

Me: Good night

After Jacob and I ended our conversation, I decided to lay down in bed. Wayne was still getting ready for bed, so I didn't turn out the light. I turned towards the wall and attempted to go to sleep. However, soon Wayne getting into bed, and his movements were waking me back up.
