"Wake up bae," Wayne said, tapping me a few times. I woke up from my sleep, and could hear Wayne's phone going off. I forgot he had set an alarm last night. I sat up and stretched before opening my eyes. It wasn't even daylight outside yet. I looked over at my phone. 5 AM.
"Why are we up so early?" I asked, wanting to go back to sleep.
"We all have to be there early. My mom always gathers the family at 8AM. Now hurry and hop in the shower. You take forever to get dressed." Wayne said, still laying down.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed my clothes before heading in the bathroom.
Once I was done showering, I came back into the bedroom and plugged my curling wand into the wall so it could start warming up. I wanted to add some nice curls to my hair. While waiting, I put on some perfume and lipstick.
By time Wayne was done getting dressed,I was almost done with putting curls in my hair.
"Babe, are you ready?" He asked, putting his watch on.
"One second," I said, putting the last curl in my hair. I unplugged the curling wand and walked over to my closet where I grabbed my phone. I placed my phone and charger inside.
"Now I am," I said.
"Alright. Well, it's seven now so we better start heading out the door. You have everything?" Wayne asked as he put his phone in his pocket and began walking out the room towards the front door.
"Yeah, I'm good. I have everything." I followed him out the door.
Our bags were already in the car. We would be staying at Wayne's parents house for three days.

"Oh my gosh, look at my beautiful babies. Y'all better come here and give me a hug." Wayne's mom greeted us as we came in the door.
"Hey momma," Wayne smiled, hugging his mom.
"Hey ma," I hugged her after Wayne.
She gave us both a kiss on the cheek.
Wayne and I went into the living room where Jaqueline, Derek, Elijah, and Shyanne (Wayne's siblings) and their spouses were all conversing. We joined them as we waited for Victoria and her fiance to show up.
A few minutes later, though, Teyana showed up.
"Teyana!" Wayne's mom exclaimed when she walked into the door. They exchanged hugs.
Once Teyana came into the living room, the siblings began to talk to her too. They were closer to her than me because they knew her way longer than me.
Teyana eventually came over to where Wayne and I were talking to Derek.
"Hey Teyana," Derek said, giving her a hug.
"Hey," She said, hugging him back.
"Hey Wayne," She said, giving him a hug as well.
Wayne just looked at her awkwardly and didn't even hug her back. Their hug lasted longer than usual and eventually Wayne pulled her off of him.
She smiled before turning to face me. I raised an eyebrow and put one hand on my hip as I looked her up and down.
She smirked and turned around before mumbling "bitch."
