I dug in my pocket searching for my phone. I needed to call my mom, so she could pick me up and take me to the ice cream store. I was not going through all this for nothing.
"Okay l, is this really happening?" I asked myself.
I cursed, as I walked out of the hospital for the second time, wobbling and tipping over my crutches. A map was clutched in one of my hands, as I tried to figure out which direction my house was. I had not only received the luck of loosing my phone, but also my wallet and my keys.
'I must have left it in that fancy guy's car.' I mummbled, mentally smacking myself.
After about ten minutes of wandering I came to a stop at an intersection. I had no idea where I was or where to go next.
A large mass bumped into my back, pushing me towards the hard ground.
"Watch where you're going!" I shouted angrily as a guy about my age looked down at me. He had dark auburn hair that framed his face, and dark brown eyes that looked as if he wanted to burn the world with a flamethrower.
"Daniel, Daniel where are you?" A voice shouted, causing my ears to bleed. It sounded like a dying chiken trying to sing opera.
"Shoot." The guy cursed. He looked at me for a second and then grabbed my arm without a word. I was motionless for a second as My crippled body was dragged helplessly towards who knows where.
"What, hey wait I am on crutches, ow, stop it." I complained, my face heating up. Without speaking the boy scooped me up in one hand, and carried my crutches in the other. What the heck is happening?
"Help! I am being kidnapped!" I screamed to the busy people. Many of them continued walking, trying to get to a meeting or something, while the others just gasped and took out their phones. The were murmuring stuff about, 'its him.' or 'I can't believe it.' A few tiny screems echoed as people began to stop what they were doing and look at us.
"Shut up, will you. She'll find me." He hissed, speaking for the first time.
"And the kidnapper speaks." I growled, kicking at him.
"Let me down. Who are you? Why are you carrying me?" I continued.
"Wow you are annoying." I gave him a hard kick to the knee and he began to explain, a little crack in his voice.
"Look that girl is going to ask where I went. and you noticed me. If you tell her I will be dead." He continued. I really was tempted to leave him.
"Look, its not my problem if you are having problems with your girlfriend, who really needs to avoid screaming." I said, as the loud shriek echoed.
"She is not my girlfriend." He retorted, and turned a corner into an alley, setting me down.
"What? Are you going to mug me, because all my stuff is in some guys car." I said, holding my hands up.
"No, just be quiet and it will be over soon." He said covering my mouth, and leaning towards me. My eyes widened, and I snatched one of my crutched from his arm.
"Yaaahhh!" I yelled into his palm, and bit it.
"Ow, what the heck?" He asked, recoiling. I didn't take any time, and began to beat him with my crutch.
"Let me go you perv!" I yelled, and hit him a number of times I finally got out of his grasp and hobbled into the sidewalk. A woman with pounds of makeup on was shrieking for the guy named Daniel and I grinned. I looked over at the guy who's name was Daniel as he frantically shook his head.
"Oh, yoohoo lady. Daniel is right in there awaiting your love." I said with a mischievous smile. The woman shrieked in delight and ran into the alley, while I heard a groan from Daniel. Sweet revenge.
-- fast forward --
After and hour of hobbling with one crutch the sun was beginning to set, and I was about to eat my fist. I had an idea of where I was, but was not totally sure. If only I was able to get my stuff back.
My foot had begun to ache, and my head was beginning to spin from exhaustion. I was cursing the two guys in my head, as I continued down the street. None of this would have happened if I hadn't met them. Then I felt my body shake with excitement.
"Ice cream!" I wheezed, and began to hobble faster. I probably looked insane, but I didn't care, it wa so close.
"You have got to be kidding," I groaned, as I looked at the huge crowd, surrounding the store. For a second I thought of going back, but I didn't let it get to me. I was not backing down after all I had been through.
After pushing my way to the front, I remembered that I had left my wallet. I turned to the woman at the counter with pleading eyes.
"I have almost been arrested, gone to the hospital, and beat a perv name Daniel as he tried to assault me." I gasped, the exhaustion taking over my excitement.
"All I wanted was ice cream." I said, and looked at her with the most adorable puppy face I could muster. The woman shook her head, but I could see the guilt in her eyes.
"You did all of that for ice cream." I turned to see a boy who was sitting at a table, surrounded by people with cameras, and men with black suits. He had bright blonde hair and large blue eyes. He had a baby face that I have to admit was adorable.
"Yes, I was hungry." I said, not caring what he thought. Nothing could distact me from my mission as I continued to bat my eyes.
"I look up to people like that, I also love ice cream." The boy said as he got up. The boy sitting next to him did the same, with a small grin on his face.
"I love determined girls." The other guy said. I made a face, as he advanced. The guy looked very similar to connor with the same hair, yet he was a little taller and had a different aura. They looked like they could be brothers, but separated by age.
"Okay, thats great, but I am trying to make a deal here." I muttered turning back to the lady.
"One ice cream for the beautiful lady." The older guy said, smiling at me. I closed my eyes as I started to say thanks, but the lack of food and exhaustion was getting to me. The world began to spin, and I sank to the floor. 'WHY DOES NATURE HATE ME' was my last thought before I felt my eyes close.
