A/N: Okay so next chapter I am going to write it in a new perspective. You shall wait and see..... Also I really would appreciate if you told me what you think.... please? Okay that's it, I'm done.
-QueenThe sun began to flood into my eyes, and I took in my room. What happened, the last thing I remembered was fainting in an ice cream store.
"No!" I yelled into my pillow. All that effort, and my ice cream was right there, so close. Then I flipping fainted.
I got out of bed in a bad mood, quickly changing into jeans and a hoodie. Lets just say that I'm not a fancy girl.
"Maya, Maya!" My mother shouted.
"Are you up? You have got to come down here and see this.
"What mom? No, I have to go to school now, if you would excuse me." I said running out the door. I reached for my keys as I passed the hutch, and then remembered.
"Really?" I said, throwing my arms up in the air. I ran out of the house, cursing. I'm going to be late!
I hobbled down the sidewalk on my crutch, cursing the world.
"Why me, why does it always have to be-" My words were stopped as I felt my body freeze. A big black car was zooming towards me, and I could hear the squealing of the breaks. I closed my eyes cursing the world.
'I never got to get the ice cream.' I thought, and braced for impact. I stood there for a second and opened my eyes.
"Wow, they were right. Death is just like going to sleep," I said. I looked around and then realized that I was still standing on the road, which I died.
"Wait." I said. A guy got out of the car, a panicked expression on his face. He was wearing fancy clothes, and had long silver hair, tied into a ponytail. He had dark blue eyes, and kind expression.
"Hey dude." I said, calling him over. He looked surprise for a second, but put on an amused smile.
"Yes, are you alright my dear?" He asked, inspecting me.
"I will be if you never call me dear again." I said taking a step back.
"Anyways can you touch me." I asked him. He looked at me with a surprised expression. I took that time to walk up and grab his hand.
"Step away from him this instant." A man in a black suit got out of the car.
"Not one of you again! Its not like I'm going to-" I remembered what happened last time and held my tongue. It was hard because I really wanted to see what the guy would do if I said it.
"Its fine Eugene, get back in the car." The guy said a little exasperated.
"I'm sorry about him, I-" His apology was cut off by my laughter.
"Eugene, that big guy is named Eugene." I repeated over and over. At first the fancy guy was confused, but he began to chuckle.
"Though, I would like to like it if you could tell me exactly why you needed me to touch your hand, my lady." He said in a polite tone that made you feel like you were special. I stood up a little straighter feeling dignified.
"Well sir you do know how to address a lady. I just wanted to make sure I was not a ghost, and I needed your confirmation." I said, and then I was hit with a thought.
"I'm late for school!" I screamed looking at my phone.
"This is all your fault, oh no what am I gonna do?! I already got a detention the coach will kill me." I said, and began to hobble forward. The fancy guy caught my hand, an amused expression on his face.
"Would you happen to be going to Wilferd High School?" he asked with a smile. I began to panic in my head. This guy was way too rich to attend my school. He must be a stalker, or worse. The police.
"Okay I have to go.." I began to back away slowly trying not to draw attention to myself. I was still on a crutch and I couldn't even outrun a chicken with my giant boot and armpit killing weapon.
"No, wait I am going there for a speech, it's okay." He said, and the next second I was sitting in yet another bullet proof car wondering what the meaning of my life was.
Murmurs echoed throughout the halls as I walked by.
"Maya, come here." I heard someone hiss and I was dragged into an empty class room.
"Are the rumors true?" My best friend Abby asked. I looked at her a little confused, and she rolled her eyes.
"Of course you wouldn't know. The ones about you meeting four Prince's in a day. Sandy said there are pictures of Prince Oliver, Daniel, and Connor" She said, exasperated.
"Who? Prince's!" I laughed. I had no idea who those people were, and none of the guys I had met acted like princes. The rumors had to be wrong. These guys ruin your dreams." I growled, imagining what could have been my chocolate fudge sundae.
"Well the guy this morning was polite and he had a nice car." I began.
"But he about hit me so he doesn't count either." I thought aloud.
"Wait Maya your telling me-" Abby began but was cut off by the late bell.
"Man, Abby I'm gonna be late. See you!" I waved before dashing off.
The rest of the day went by normally except for all the whispering and strange glances pointed at me. I didn't care though because I was on a mission to get my ice cream.
After second block ended we were shuffled towards the auditorium instead of lunch. I was grumpy, and could hear the growling of my stomach.
"Who is making us skip lunch. When I find them I'm gonna pummel them.." I began to mutter to Abby as we sat down, facing the stage. Abby had finally given up on the whole prince thing but still seemed a little suspicious.
"Sorry to suddenly pull this on you all so quickly, but I think you will be happily surprised by our guest speaker." Our principal said, adjusting his collar that seemed to be tighter than usual.
"Wait," I whispered to Abby.
"Is he wearing a suit, is his hair gelled back?" I asked in surprise. Just as she was about to respond, Abby let out a loud gasp.
I looked up to the stage and saw a very familiar face.
"You!" I hissed looking at the guy who had kidnapped me this morning. I was about to make a break for it, hoping the stalker wouldn't recognize me. I had barely made it out alive, I had to pretend to throw up and then made a dash for the school once he let me out.
I was about to tell Abby my plan when I heard my name being called by the principal."Our President is sadly sick today with the flu, so may I ask Maya Watson to come up and shake hands with Prince Charles, and say a few words." I froze in an awkward half sitting/ standing position, and gave a forced smile.
I may not seem it, but my GPA was second to Allie Lynch who was our student body president. Normally I didn't have to do much as V. President but I guess today was my lucky day.
I snuck up towards the stage cautiously, as murmurs erupted from the students. Once I reached the stage I looked up at the strange guy, and dared him to make one move. His eyes widened in recognition, and he looked a little frightened. IT could have been because he had barely avoided a beating with my crutch as I struggled to escape from his clutches.
"Um, hello Maya," he said with a small, polite wave.
"Hello Charles." I said in my most menacing voice. I heard a number of gasps and the principle waddled up to me as fast as he could.
"Maya, he is a prince you cannot just address him by his first name. Please just shake his hand and it'll be over okay." He said his voice shaking with worry. I looked to Charles side and saw a man with a black suit and sunglasses standing beside him. Eugene was in a stance as if he was a tiger ready to pounce.
I contemplated doing a hit and run, or maybe yelling to the school about Charles true identity. I decided to slowly approach for now, knowing that I had many witnesses I case the guy tried to kidnap me again.
