NOT EDITED

Aadhya had been packing her bags, everything she wanted was already put away, and the 'packers and movers' arranged by the Rajput heir carried them out. Eklavya had told or rather ordered Aadhya that she would be staying with him in one of his resorts till the marriage, one week after. Since Mrs. Rathore had refused to allow Aadhya into the castle before she became a Rathore, and Eklavya was too possessive to let Aadhya live alone in a resort for seven days, the decision had been made so. Aadhya, however, did not understand the need for him to do so. She was completely safe in her house, or at least, she thought she was. Eklavya, however, knew that Aadhya's mother would taunt her continuously now, after his 'stunt' of yesterday. However, Eklavya had no idea that not telling Aadhya the reason, was making her question the fragile foundations of their relationship.

Aadhya's family was more than happy to get rid of her. They believed that the earlier the girl child got married, the better it was. They belonged to such orthodox sections of the society, and even still, they proudly told themselves to be modern, when they were, actually, worse than the opposite of it. When Aadhya went to inform her father about her to-be-husband's order, her father gave her a bright smile and then informed his wife to happily pack Aadhya's bags so that Aadhya can leave as early as possible. And Aadhya had been crying since then. She was heart-broken, she knew of her family's religious beliefs, but she did not think it was possible for them to fall down to such a level in their orthodoxy. Aadhya had to, sadly, beg her parents to attend her marriage, and their parents had replied, "Obviously, we will have to come, otherwise who will do your kanyadaan? Now, we can't, afford to lose our respect, because of you, in the society, can we?"

Finally, everything was packed and Aadhya was about to reach the resort booked for her by Eklavya. She was about to pay for her room to the receptionist when she was informed, that all the expenditures had already been covered. She was, however, not shocked. Seeing the level of protectiveness of the Rajput prince, this had to be done. Aadhya, made up her mind to repay him later and then went to her suite. The suite was spick-and-span, a large jacuzzi in the bathroom and with a large fluffy bed in the bedroom, which was enough to accommodate at least 5 people, the suite was more than perfect for Aadhya.

She thought of giving her family a call to let them know that she had reached safely, but when the phone was picked up on the other side, instead of kind words, the following harsh word followed, "We do not care whether you have reached or not. Do not contact us any more. You are not our responsibility anymore."

Aadhya wondered whether was she really a burden to everyone around her?

This chapter was mainly concerned about Aadhya's family.
Even after being so forward and modern, there are many families, which consider Girl Child as their burden. However, the citizens and the government are constantly working on it and we sincerely hope for looking forward to a day when the girl child is not considered a burden but a blessing.
