Eklavya had a feeling that Aadhya would be looking beautiful. But he did not know that she would be looking so ethereal. The smokey look enhanced and brought forth her chocolate brown eyes. Her pouty lips painted blood red looked so dam kissable. And her cheeks - they were all bright red due to constant blushing. He just wanted to hide Aadhya away from everyone - men or women. But, at the same time, his purpose was also to claim her in front of everyone, so that everyone knew that she was his and that his first responsibility was hers and her first care was him.
Aadhya was expecting a handsome Eklavya. She also had a soft spot for men wearing Indian traditionals. And now, she was sure that when Eklavya looked so good in formals, he would obviously look twice as handsome in traditionals. But when she saw him, looking at her with those piercing eyes of his, she felt red creeping up her neck to her cheeks. She just wanted to run far away from here, from everyone - just with her Eklavya Ved Rathore.
The priest requested both the bride and the bridegroom to be seated on the designates seats so that he could start away with the marriage rituals. They were asked to exchange the garlands. This marked that they were being willingly married with no outside force. Each exchange of garland was celebrated by joyous clapping from everyone present around. After the garland exchange, they were requested to be seated.
The priest requested Aadhya's father to come forth for the Kanyadaan and he came happily right away. He was just so happy, to get rid of his burden. He happily completed the Kanyadaan and went away all joyous, meanwhile, Aadhya did not know what to feel. She was somewhere, deep down happy that she was going in a family who cared for her, but she was also sad to be losing her own family. However, might they treated her, but leaving them made her feel extremely sad. A tear slipped down her eyes, when it was quickly wiped away by Eklavya. He gestured Aadhya not to cry. Aadhya gave a small smile to him and then silently thanked the almighty for giving her Eklavya.
After the Kanyadaan, the bride and the bridegroom were requested to stand for the pheras. This was a ritual in which they had to take seven rounds around the sacred marriage fire, marking their seven rebirths of togetherness. While during the first half of the rounds, Aadhya would have to leading the second half was led by the Eklavya.
(A/N: sorry guys, I won't be getting into the details as I myself am not at all sure about it. Please excuse.)After the pheras, came the rituals which signified a married woman as one. Eklavya was asked to tie the mangalsutra or the wedding chain around Aadhya's neck and then fill her hairline with sindoor or the holy red marriage powder. As Eklavya had bend forward to tie the mangalsutra around her neck, his hot breath fell directly on Aadhya's neck, making goosebumps arise on her skin. This made Eklavya smirk, knowing his effect on Aadhya. After successfully tieing the chain, Maharani Laxmi came forward with the sindoor. Normally the sindoor was never given to the groom by the eldest in the family, but Maharani Laxmi had her own reasons. She wanted to share for her contribution in the marriage of her grandson and therefore it was her very own personal wish to present the sindoor.
Filling up her hairline, Eklavya gave Aadhya a smile. Small, but nonetheless a smile. This left Aadhya dumbstruck. She did not expect to see Eklavya's smile and after knowing that Eklavya was now comfortable enough to share his smile with her left her all happy. She returned her own smile to Eklavya, and this made the perfect wedding picture of them that they would be always cherishing forever.
Phew! Finally the wedding part is over.
