It was Aadhya and Eklavya's Sangeet. Aadhya's mehendi ceremony was already over and Eklavya's name wad proudly shown to everyone who would take a closer look at Aadhya's hands. Eklavya had personally come five times between the two - hour long ceremony to check on Aadhya. He had made sure that Aadhya was comfortable enough, and also made her drink one of the refreshments every half hour. After the ceremony, he had personally searched for his name in Aadhya's hands, and made sure that they were clearly visible to everyone. He had then proceeded to lovingly shower kinds on the whole of Aadhya's hands, paying special attention to his name; which made Aadhya's breath hitch. She was so mesmerized by Eklavya's act, that she hadn't even noticed her mother entering.
Eklavya seeing Aadhya's mother had decided to give them their privacy. He had pressed a last kiss to his name and then with a promising kiss on Aadhya's forehead, left the room.
Aadhya's mother however did not consider this behaviour of them to be appropriate. She groped Aadhya by her forearm. "Such a whore-like behaviour wasn't expected from you! How could you surrender yourself to him even before your marriage. I understand you are a money hungry slut but you should have at least kept our family's name". Delivering a slap to Aadhya she had left the room.
Aadhya had been crying since. Almost three hours had already passed and it was almost midnight. Eklavya on the other was very restless. He had seen Aadhya's mother exchange smiles with her family after she came out of her room, and her smile wasn't a pleasant one. Eklavya knew that she had said Aadhya something but he wanted to give Aadhya her own time. But now, he had jad enough. Believing Aadhya to be sleeping by now, he had decided to visit her.
And when he saw her sitting by the window sill, resting her hard on the knees and tears streaming down her face, his fists clenched. He knew Aadhya was not the one to be crying on simple things and this angered him more. Hearing footsteps, Aadhya looked up and saw Eklavya looking at her darkly. She went up, wiped her face with the back of her palms and walked up to him.
"Eklavya, w-why do yo-ou wan-nt to marry me? I would j-just spoil y-your fa-family's name. L-look at m-me! I don't even have the g-grace of a r-royal!" Eklavya understood what her mother told her. He gently scooped her bridal style and carried her to her bed. Laying down, he laid Aadhya such that her hard was laying on his shoulder. "Look up Aadhya" Aadhya looked up at him, keeping her chin over his beating heart.
"I have already told you that you are mine. That means your tears are as much as mine as your laughter. No one other than me has the right to make you shed your tears. I do not care what your goddamn mother just said to you but believe me you will be everything I need. So now, stop crying. We are getting married tomorrow and I promise to take you far away from all this drama" and maybe never let you cry again .
The marriage is the next part.
Really sorry. I am very sorry I couldn't update for a very long time. Suffering from a huge writer's block and simultaneously having my finals was taking a toll on me but hopefully I am back now.
