It had been a few days since Camellia had her whole... house party at my house. I was still hunting down Kaneki under the guise of Alex, though something had happened. I had apparently missed him coming to Antekiu a week or so prior and was only now learning of it.

Still, Kaneki was acting strange. I had been observing him for a while now, through his agents and any sightings I could manage. Apparently, he had been experiencing unusual abilities as of late, probably due to his consumption of other ghouls as theorized by... almost everyone aware of it.

According to some files I... unlawfully borrowed from the CCG, a ghoul can attain new abilities should they consume a large number of other ghouls. It seems they are somewhat similar to us in that regard. That didn't sit well with me. Just how powerful could one get?

Then I had a thought... were I to consume a ghoul doing as Kaneki is... well... I'd be pretty bloody powerful. 

I was atop a rooftop, reading over these files in the dead of night, the skyline of Tokyo lighting up the night sky. I looked up to the sky... how would I go about... consuming one such as Kaneki? Well... I could just consume Kaneki. He trusts me, and it'd be easy enough just to snap his spinal cord or slit his throat. After all, a ghoul's nervous system only varies slightly to that of a human's. 

Oh, this is tempting. Of course, this would gain the eternal animosity of Touka, not that I much cared. Why wouldn't I do this? Morals? Threw them out ages ago. Loyalty? Never been too good with that. There is no real reason for me to not do this. 

So that settles it! I'm going to go kill Ken Kaneki! Now, just to figure out where to find him. I spent days looking for him. He kept himself incredibly scarce, with an MI6-esque information network, of which I was apart of as a field operative. 

However, come a day where snow fell upon a silent city, I found myself atop Tokyo's tallest building once more, looking out over the city. I was looking through another set of notes from another one of Kaneki's operatives who had been checking out one of Alex's hideouts. 

I sighed, finding no indication of just where Kaneki would be. Fuck. Ok. I have tried sniffing him out but I suspect his scent has changed, I was unable to find him despite my extensive senses. I fell onto my back, looking at the sky.

Y/n: Kaneki, Kaneki... just where are you?

Sitting up again, I took a look around, seeing nothing of note. I began jumping from one building to another, trying to find something to do. It didn't take long as I witnessed the black night turn a deep orange as smoke rose over the city. 

It looked interesting, so, let's go! As I ran, growing closer and closer to the burning building, I noticed... I am intimately familiar with this area. Wait... would that mean... Oh fuck. Anteiku has been raided. Fuck.

I made a mad dash to the area, finding Iris, Camellia and Alex all on the surrounding buildings... I guess Iris had been practising her abilities under my nose to move that fast. We all looked at the burning structure, curious to see what would happen. Soon enough, we saw Kaneki emerge from the burning structure, a body in his hands covered by a white table cloth. 

He walked down the road, towards the CCG frontlines. I had no idea this was going on... shit, this presented an issue. Camellia, Iris and Alex jumped towards me, sensing my anxiety. 

Alex: What's up?

Y/n: We had no idea this was going to happen, we're out of the loop and that is devastating for us

Iris: He's right. We need someone IN the CCG if they can organise this without us knowing about it

Y/n: I volunteer. May as well
