The crown of power

The fight between James and I continued, eventually culminating in him stabbing me through the chest upon his blade arm, and launching me off into one of the second floor windows of Anteiku. I had quickly recovered, however James was already gone. I silently cursed both myself and him before remembering Touka and Kaneki. 

I jumped down and went through the window, I saw Touka on the floor, bleeding, but no Kaneki. That bodes... super ill. I picked Touka up and walked her upstairs, placing her on a sofa and began treating her wounds. Eventually she regained consciousness and, placing a hand on her head, sat up

Y/n: Slowly now, you're still hurt

She grumbled a bit, rubbing her head before shooting her eyes open and looking around the room frantically

Touka: Where's Kaneki?!

Y/n: Gone. They took him, to do what I don't know

Touka: Where?! 

Y/n: I know the rough direction but if I had to guess... the thirteenth ward

She tried to get up, but her wounds forced her to remain seated. She placed a hand on her abdomen

Touka: We have to save him

Yoshimura, Yomo, Iris and Hinami walked in soon enough

Yoshimura: Good, you're here

He then proceeded to sit us all down. I sat next to Touka with bandages and other medical supplies, Iris next to me. Yomo stood in the corner, Hinami sat opposite Touka. Enji and Koma sat nearby but not too close to each other. 

I was bandaging up Touka's abdomen, so I had someone, I don't know, fetch Touka a new shirt as I had her remove her shirt. She was a lot more beat up than I first thought. Touka was trying to ignore the fact I was in fact staring at her by looking intensely at the wall in front of me  

Y/n: No need to be embarrassed, I'm a professional

Iris: I hate how that is correct

I'll be honest, Touka muscles were like... a 10/10 sit ups for an hour every three hours. Unfortunately I had to clean the blood before bandaging, so they all started talking about saving Kaneki. Eventually Shuu walked in but I still wasn't done with Touka. I collected a pill and handed it to Touka with a glass of water

Y/n: Take this pill, should help you

Touka: What is it?

Y/n: Best not to ask

It was actually me. After she took the pill I got to work forcing her wounds shut from the inside. Accelerated cell growth, scar tissue, the works, were all handled by me faster than her body could dream of. She eventually screamed "bullshit" which hurt her and invalidated some of my work. Be more considerate Touka. Once I was done, I decided to leave that pill of me inside her, dormant, in case she needed it again.

After the meeting I was filled in on what we were doing. We would travel to Algori tree's base in the thirteenth ward and find Kaneki, freeing him, before leaving. I was to enter Solo on the opposite side of the building from everyone else. More killing, however, the CCG would be a little too close for me to ignore, so I chose to go in with them

That would take place in a couple of days, however, before I could do anything Touka asked for me. We sat in a dimly lit room opposite each other

Touka: Thanks for the bandaging 

Y/n: No problem. though you didn't want to talk about that

Touka: Yeah... two things. First... how likely do you think it is Kaneki is dead?

Y/n: Loaded question. Honestly it is very possible but they took him for a reason, so they must want something. If he hasn't given it, he's still alive 

Touka: Alright... second. who was that you were fighting?

Y/n: Ah right. James Heller... something of a rival to Mercer and I

Touka: Well... what do we do if we see him in the raid?

Y/n: You keep yourself hidden, failing that you run. You run like all hell and before he knows you're gone you find me. Failing that you escape and lose him, forget about me. Kaneki too. You'll be no good dead
