I left the next few days in confusion, what had happened that night? I mean I loved it I wanted to be with Severus, but he just gave me the same old treatment as he did in potions class nothing was different from before. Was he regretting it? I stayed after class to talk to him
Rose - i'll be a minute Maia just going to see if I can get an extension on my potions assignment
Maia - alright will I'll see you in the common room with Draco, and good luck he's being even colder today
I walked up to Severus's desk he didn't even look up at me as he marked the tests.
Rose - Severus?
Snape - It is professor to you Miss Mcgonagall
Rose - Are you kidding me?
Snape - I dont know what your talking about
Why was he giving me the cold shoulder
Snape - Listen rose, I know better that to fool around with Students and besides, why would you want to be with me? Im a 37 year old professor who lost love years ago?
Rose - Severus I want to be with you, I'm willing to do anything

Snape - yes well it was a stupid idea, now please leave my classroom

I grabbed my shit and left, welling up as i did, I was so angry i mean how could he do that to me? I turned around just before i left

I ran to my dormitory as fast as I could
Maia - Hey Rose, we're all going to head to the great hall- are u okay?
Rose - Ye I'm fine i just don't feel well, u go on without me
She pulled me in closer
Maia - We got permission to go to Malfoy Manor after dinner to collect some of mine and Draco's things, I'd love it if you came
Rose - erm ye sure
Maia - Ok see you later then
Why the hell did I just agree to that, but there is a silver lining, it would make Severus incredibly jealous
Snape's POV
She stormed out of the classroom, I returned to my desk and began marking my tests again.
Then i felt it, the overwhelming sense of emotion, I began to cry and wet the parchment in front of me. I hadn't felt like this for a very long time. My life had been so meaningless

I was still angry at Snape for earlier but I needed a distraction. I arrived at Dumbledore's office where we were planning to floo from. We arrived outside the gates of the manor, me and Maia were talking
Rose - Next time I go into Hogsmeade I desperately need some new clothes
Maia - and a dress of course
Rose - A dress?
Maia - For the blood ball?
Rose - The what now?
Maia - The annual Halloween ball, this year the thee is blood bonanza, basically everyone come dripping with blood
Rose - Who's crazy idea was that?
Maia - Dumbledore's he thought it might be fun, you know how he loves the drama, And we have to have dance lessons again.

Rose - You mean? Dance lessons with Snape

Draco- Actually Maia I wanted to talk to you about that

Draco shuffled on his feet, I had never seen him this nervous
Draco - Would you maybe want to go to the ball with me ?
Oh for Merlin's sake I'm stood right here after a breakup with a professor and Draco's asking Maia to the ball??
Maia - Draco I'd love to
They embraced tightly as she lifted him up in hugs and we began walking back towards the manor
Maia - We need to go to Hogsmeade tomorrow!
Rose - Yeah lets go
I rolled my eyes. we arrived at the front door and the house elves lead us to the dining room. I stopped. Then it hit me. Oh my god. I kept walking and there he was. Lucius Malfoy.

Right just chill out it's fine you only slept with your best friend's boyfriends father who's standing right in front of you with his wife. Yeah not helping.
Draco walked forward
Draco - Mother
He gave her a kiss on the cheek
Draco - Father
He shook his hand firmly
Maia stepped forward, she had been living at Malfoy Manor after her parents died 6 months ago, she knew the drill

she kissed Narcissa on the cheek

He pulled my hand so he could kiss it

Draco - We're just returning to collect some of mine and Maia's robes
Narcissa - Ah well, will you join us for dinner later
