I stepped into the room lightly. Severus was sat in his chair scribbling on some test papers. He looked up at me and smiled

Severus - How are you my dear?

Rose - I'm alright I feel a little weak but I'm better

I wanted to change the subject as fast as possible. I slipped onto Severus' lap, he raised his eyebrows. I draped my hands around his neck

Rose - The question is how are you?

Severus - I'm good, I have to admit that made me a little better

I chuckled as he smiled. I saw something moving outside of the window. Little snowflakes were dropping from the pale white sky, landing on some first years that were throwing snowballs at each other while laughing hysterically. I gasped

Rose - What's the date Severus?

Severus - It's the 23rd of December my love

he said pushing a hair behind my ear

I slapped my hands over my mouth

Rose - You're joking

Severus - No! The Christmas ball is tomorrow!

He said chuckling. I immediately got off his lap and began collecting my things

Severus - Where are you going dear?

Rose - I- I- I have to go

Severus - Woah Woah Woah

I turned around and questioned him

Severus - Do I not get a kiss?

I walked back over to him, imitating and angry toddler. He cupped my face in his hands and placed his lips on mine, I felt a bolt of electricity rush through my body I became invested in the kiss. It wasn't like one we had had before, this was passionate, this was beautiful. I felt like the world was spinning, like time stopped. I put my hands lightly on his waist as we continued kissing for what felt like forever. He pulled away and whispered
