10h34 - Main Mansion, the official residence of the Mafia

Descending the stairs, I was quick to have my breakfast at the servants kitchen and head towards my shift, which was nearly beginning.

I felt reestablished, like a brand new man, after the whole night of sleep we'd been given after the long journey from the mountains back to the Main Mansion, and, even though I was still mad at myself for acting like a crazy hormones teenager and let myself go with my absence of sexual intercourse, I was no longer overthinking the whole situation.

I messed up, things happened. She's no longer here and no one will ever know it happened. I just have to continue with my mission and start focusing on what really matters.

Get the fucking information about the new alliances, report and get the fuck out.

'Look who's back' I heard Minji speak as I passed through the long hallway of offices, connecting the working side of the mansion and living area, through where I intended to leave for the garden.

Minji stood at the wall, with his hands behind his back, right outside Y/N's office, which door was closed shut. It was still early, so she probably wasn't there yet.

'What's up?' I asked him back.

Something I'd learnt about Minji and Jackson was that, besides actual good guys and acceptable partners, these dudes loved gossip and always managed to feed me with rumors that usually helped me get my information.

'That's on you, man' He said back, with a smile on his face 'How's the secret mission? I heard it was intense'

'You did?' I cocked an eyebrow 'Nothing really happened'

'I heard you spent a night with her' He whispered, leaning forward to get closer.

'W-what?'

'I couldn't do it' Minji stood back, with a serious expression 'I mean- I know we just have to stand and look dead, but still... she's so scary man, I couldn't do it'

Relief flooded across my body.

'You did it for Jack, didn't you?' he asked again, shaking his head 'I knew you were a great guy, but shit- you're a hero, bro. I wouldn't want to spend hours alone in her presence. Especially at night'

'She's not that bad-'

'You don't need to pretend, JK' he patted my shoulder 'We know it must've been a nightmare. No need to pretend any more, man'

More like a fucking wet dream, that's what it was.

'Anyways, we owe you one. Jack does, above all'

'It's fine'

'No. It's really not' he seriously answered 'You keep on covering for us. You replace us when we're sick, you spend the night looking at her because Jack's sleeping-'

Shit, I'm starting to feel bad.

'You're a fucking hero, that's what you are' He sighed, picking his chin on his hand 'You deserve-'

A gasp suddenly escaped his lips and his spine straightened as quickly as a snale. The door behind my back opened, and, in a second, those luxurious bright eyes were pointing straight at us, right front behind it.

'I thought I heard your voice' The words escaped her lips swiftly, calmly, with the usual rasp lullaby of her voice.

She looked beautiful as always, with her hair perfectly in place and waving on the sides of her face, a soft tint of blush on her cheeks, along with the natural makeup on her eyes, making her eyelashes so long they reached the top of her eyelids.
