Author's POV

Scratching with the back of his hand on his lips, Taehyung attentively analyzed the tone of photographs upon the desk, behind which he was sitting on. The faces on the pictures were mostly of people he knew, men that worked in the Government, spies in the Secret Affairs and secretaries of the big bosses that owned the majority of the companies the National Government worked for. Those men were the people who dealt with the secret information in the country and his company whenever he felt like going out, mostly in confidential strip clubs and VIP parties, which most of the attended too.

He always mentioned himself as someone who worked for a big company, but never specified the details. He knew that the second people found out about his true identity, there would be
only a second until the Government kidnapped him and tortured him for information. Besides, all those men were powerful and most men holding power act like idiots, drowning in the dirty pleasures of life. By simply being good with the ladies, Taehyung had always been on their good side, since he was always seen as a rich guy who encountered with the most beautiful women.

Scrolling through the papers, he studied each one of them, trying to remember every single conversation he ever had with each one of the represented, appealing to his unconscious mind. He needed information and he was sure that after seeking for it for so long, he would've already found something. He had just not looked closer enough.

'One thing my father has ever taught me is that we can never trust what we see. We need to take all of our senses to find what's hiding behind what we're looking at and by that we'll know about what's not being told' he remembered saying that to his personal spy, who'd been the one taking the pictures and affirming he couldn't find what he'd asked for 'I'll look into it. I just need to be focused and I'll get to my answer'

Sighing, he looked around. The hotel room was big and luxurious, completely filled with all types of expensive furniture and objects, such as big glass made pots and marble counters, upon which there was nothing. In fact, it almost looked like there was no one living there, since his only personal belongings were in the room, inside the big closet. In the office, there was a big desk, behind which he'd been spending most of his time, followed by a huge living room, with marbled floors and tall glass windows, with the breathtaking landscape of a city. It was Bangkok.

Looking at his phone once again, he rolled his eyes. He was late. As always.

Getting up from his seat, with a soft groan, he stepped around the silent suite, towards the bar, where he took a clean glass and filled it with a bit of whiskey, to sip on. Seconds after, the bell rang and his head turned to the side, waiting for the person at the door.

A few seconds after, his bodyguard came to the living room and bowed 'Sir, he's here'

'Yes, send him in' He gestured, moving to the couch where he sat, turned to the entrance of the door, to wait for the visit. Moments after, Jimin came inside the room, echoing with his boots on the stone made floor, in a rush.

Seeing Taehyung sitting calmly across the room he sighed 'Why do you have guards here?'

'I don't wanna be found' he explained, gesturing him to sit down 'Can't take any risks'

He chuckled, turning the couch around, so he could sit across the table, on the other couch, right in front of his friend 'Are you afraid Y/N will find you?'

The other shook his head 'Not her' he stated 'I've made sure she isn't following me'

'Are you following her back?' he asked, as he turned around to gesture the maid to serve him a glass of whiskey. She politely bowed, doing as he told.
