Mansion in Daejeon - 21h35
Jungkook's POV

My foot hadn't stopped balancing for a while, quick and steady, as I sat on the couch in the middle of the living room. My mind was elsewhere, as it had been for the whole day, since I'd taken my day off to place my mind where it should be.

Y/N had not come since morning when I was told she'd left the house, with a Mr. Kim, apparently Kim Taehyung's cousin. At first, I was angry: I meant to speak to her since I knew she was behind the maid's disappearance. But then, I just acknowledged it was the perfect timing to ask around about her and their family.

I had a lot of questions on how things had gone between the relationships of those people, especially Y/N's and Taehyung's, nevertherless I knew that the both of them were hiding something. I had learnt for the past months that they never acted on their own will, they always had something planned on their back and I knew Taehyung disappearing was for a reason.

If he really did love her as he apparently did, why would he leave? Why wouldn't he hand her over to me? He knew we were involved in the first place and he obviously hated it, then why would he decide on leaving?

My phone vibrated upon the table and I picked it up, only to find Namjoon's name on the screen.

Things had also been difficult with him and our mission. None of us could find J-Hope and his life was starting to feel like an illusion. How was it possible that neither of us knew where he could have been? Was he that good at hiding? Or was someone helping him?

I was about to answer his text when I realized what time it was. It was late. And she wasn't here yet.

Maybe something happened? I asked myself for the first time on that day. I realized I'd been hating on her for the whole day, but now I was starting to feel like she might be in danger. Nobody knew she was here, yet she didn't leave any clue on where she was before leaving. Taehyung's cousin could be someone dangerous, just like Lukas. The butler did say she'd be drinking with him. Maybe she's drunk and black out?

My head turned and my eyes looked outside the window. It was very dark and nothing could be seen. I could hear the rain pouring outside, almost like a storm, and pressed my lips against each other.

Maybe she's dead? That's no good for me. How'd I find Hope without her help? I asked myself again, this time sitting comfortably on the couch.

A dozen of thoughts passed through my mind. I could always try to spy on someone in the government to try and find him but that was not easy. Now that Namjoon was told to be my only ally I couldn't lie about being on a mission. All the superiors knew what my mission was.

If she dies does my mission end? Or do I fail? That question crossed my mind. I wouldn't be punished since my mission wasn't keeping her safe, but to pretend working for her and help her with her secret plan. Yet I had a feeling they'd be furious at me.

I don't care. Maybe then they'll let me live my own life I thought again, shoving the thoughts away But how would I find Hope though?

The butler suddenly crossed the hallway and my eyes glanced at his form, since he walked quickly, probably in the middle of a task. I instantly called him, making the elder man step back and sneak his head through the door, to face me.

'Do you know when will Miss Y/N come back?' I asked making him straighten up, with his hands gripping each other in front of his belly.

'I do not sir'

'Well-' I looked away for a second 'Do you know where she might be? It can be dangerous for her to be alone at night'

He softly smiled 'She's not alone sir. She's with Mr. Kim'
