FLASHBACK
KNOCK!
KNOCK!
"Mavis? What happ.." she hugged him tight before he could say anything more.
He didn't waste a second and wrapped his arms around her, securing her in his embrace.
"Shhh. It's ok Mavey. It's gonna be ok." He cooed, calming her, as she sobbed, drenching his shirt in her tears, and makeup."Here." He gave her a cup of warm tea, as he sat next to her on the couch, pulling her legs on his lap, making her comfortable.
"How was the school dance? Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked gently.
She nodded slightly.
"J-Jimin....he dragged me....to an...e-empty classroom...and..." Tears started pooling her eyes again as she fought hard to blink them away.He gently rubbed her calf, sympathetically. He cared about her. So much. It broke him, seeing her like this. But what hurt more was his inability to do anything. Jimin was his rich classmate, and he was simply a broke, orphan boy, barely living on the scraps he could afford from the part time jobs he juggled.
"Did you tell your mom?" He asked, but not in an accusatory or imposing manner.
She nodded again, before she whimpered again.
"S-she called me a l-liar....s-so I ran.....a-and came here..""You wanna sleep over?" He smiled, trying his best to cheer her up.
"We can watch Mean Girls, and order some pizza." He tempted her, knowing she'd find it hard to resist.
A small grin crept up on her lips.
She nodded, like a happy child.
"I'd love that."
"Perfect. I'll call the pizza guy." He knew he'd have to budget in the money spent tonight, since eating out and frivolous spending wasn't a luxury he could afford. But he also knew he loved the girl before him, and for her, he could do anything, or at least so he thought."Thank you Eunwoo."
"Anytime Mavey."Later that night, Eunwoo woke up to the sound of breaking plates and glasses. He sprung off the couch, rushing to the kitchen, only to find the girl he'd tucked in his bed, wrecking his house.
"Mavis! What are you doing!"
"I hate you! You fuckin piece of shit!" She threw a glass at him, which he thankfully dodged.
"Are you insane!" He cried, concerned.
She smirked.
"You bet your ass I am." She walked closer to him, till they were merely inches apart."I Love You Eunwoo." He could feel her warm breath on his skin, making him shiver.
"You love me too, don't you?" She inquired, gently caressing his sharp face. He instantly melted in her touch, unable to resist her.
"I do." Sincerity sparked in his brown orbs, so bright that she could view her own reflection in them. It was as though she was his everything, his whole damn world.
She pulled him closer, colliding her lips with his.
The warmth of his mouth, coated hers, as they became more inseparable by the second. He'd craved her, for so long. But he'd always been to afraid to make a move, afraid he may break her.
She slowly parted away, both of them panting to catch their breath.
"Mavis...I.." Before he could finish, she placed a finger on his lips.
"Shhh. Don't say anything. I need you to listen." He looked at her with curious eyes.
"If you love me, like you say you do, I will need you to prove it. I'll need you to do something for me."
"Anything. Name it, and I'll do it." He jumped, making her chuckle softly."Very well then." She leaned in closer, and whispered in his ear.
"I WANT YOU TO KILL JIMIN FOR ME." She cooed, vindictively.
Eunwoo's eyes widened in shock. He couldn't believe what he heard. He gently pushed her away, suddenly suffocated by her presence.
"W-what?" He had a hard time processing.
"Please Eunwoo. You must do this, for me. For us. I need you to do this. It's the only way we can ever truly be together, and happy. Kill him. And when everything is over, we can run away together. Start fresh. Just you and me. Together. Forever.""Mavis, No. This is...it's absurd! I...I can't do this. I'm sorry." He spoke with a strange tint of guilt, consuming him.
She laughed. Hysterically. Psychotically. Almost alarmingly.
"You pathetic piece of trash. Your such a fuckin Loser! A waste, that's what you are Eunwoo. Mavis is such an idiot. Of course a pathetic weakling like her would like someone like you! You are of no use to man or beast. Men like you should honestly drop dead! No one wants you Eunwoo. Your parents left, and so am I. Rot in hell."She stormed off, locking herself in his bedroom. Eunwoo knocked on the door endlessly. Guilty, ashamed, hurt, dejected.
But he didn't get a single response out of her.
The words she spat had definitely pierced him, hard. And the very thought of losing her because of his pathetic ness, made him drown in a spiral of self loath and hate.
Drunk and consumed by his tears, he grabbed the sharpest object he could find, a knife, and started slashing endlessly at his arms. Unable to hold onto the pain. Desperate to unleash his inner turmoil.Soon the blood he shed, became uncontrollable, and excessive, to the extent where he was unable to prevent his eyes from shutting.
The next morning, Mavis woke up, with no memories of what happened the previous night after watching the movie, only to find the boy she loved, passed out in a pool of his own blood, with ghastly cuts all over his arms.
She wretched at the site, struggling to muffle her screams. She panicked. She ran. As fast as she could. Afraid that she, well Mai, might have been the cause of this. And jail, was the last thing she could deal with. She stayed locked up in her room for the next three days. Not stepping out to eat or drink anything. All she saw was the dead body of the boy she loved, and she never knew how much he loved her back. Mai stripped that away from her. She also made sure Mavis never knew that he wasn't actually dead.
